The difference between the tornado watch and a warning. >> Some pretty important differences to note here. Warning means that the threat of war tornado is imminent and that people need to prepare. That is not the case here, we are under a tornado watch which means the current atmospheric conditions could produce tornadoes. We did see some warnings earlier today around prescott, russell and opera got no areas. Those warnings have been downgraded to watches. Here's a look through our downtown camera looking at ottawa of course. The rain looks like it has tapered off for the most part. We could see an upwards of about 40 millers -- millimetres of rain by the end of the day. We could also see large hail falling and parts of our region. Environment and climate change canada says to expect wind gusts of up to 90 kilometres an hour. The tornado watch stretches from kingston, renfrew and got no end of things do take a turn for the worst people should stay away from any walls, windows and ideally wait things out in a basement or the ground floor of your building if that is possible. Things should start to taper off. It looks like here and around the byword market they have begun to take -- taper off. There's a chance of rain overnight, we do expect some more rain potentially thought -- some thunderstorms as well tomorrow. >> Thank you. >>> Every year the race weekend brings us stories about overcoming obstacles and tackling the impossible. I just come here to say thank you for everything what he did for me and so I'm really, really grateful. I'm speechless actually at this moment. >> He's been through an unimaginably tragic event and he has a wonderful person and there are many people in our community who want to help him. >> This is the first time we publicly heard from him since the brutal attack in march. He says he's also grateful for the members who have helped him as he continues mourning the loss of loved ones. Donations are still pouring in. The rails or the train? 's july the plan was to redesign the axle and wheel hub assemblies on every vehicle for at least a temporary solution that is stopping the wheel hub from loosening. Not -- now that may not happen because the manufacturers says they are hitting the brakes on the overhaul saying that a permanent fix is possible without it. The city isn't buying that has formally communicated the imperative for the redesign work to start up and counsellors want more answers. >> The expectations from the city of ottawa have always been that that particular component of the train carriages would be rebuilt. What we're hearing hearing now is maybe that's not needed according to alstom so we need to learn a bit more about why that's the case. Kathy end of the day what we all want is long-term stability and safety of our infrastructure for our writers. >> Reporter: they say the systems operators say they were working with alstom to redesign the axle and will have... That came after another complete shutdown of the lrt system after a major problem. Right now what is happening, up and is stopping the wheel hubs from loosening, what's the plan moving forward? There will be a subcommittee on friday and counsellors will have a lot of questions. >> Thank you. >>> A historic statue at the university of ottawa has yet to be cleaned up after it was discovered vandalized last friday.
