ticketmaster in general? >> We have had high-profile disagreements. Like bruce springsteen for example. The problem is and was the department of justice alleges, one of the allegations is that let's say a musician wants to perform at a particular vn u. That venue is controlled by live nation. Live nation will pressure the musician to use its promotion services and use ticketmaster as the exclusive ticket provider. >> Lindsey: any response from ticketmaster? >> Live nation and ticketmaster -- we saw the statement on the website yesterday. They are denying the allegations and calling them baseless. The most interesting is its net profit margin which is only 1.4%. That figure on its own suggests that live nation is not overcharging anybody. That figure will be scrutinized. >> Lindsey: the finer details. It was great to have you here. Coming up... "your morning" the podcast. On the iHeartRadio app or where ever you get your podcasts. >> Kelsey: mild temperatures this morning in parts of ontario and québec with 15 right now in the city of toronto. 15 for ottawa and 18 in montréal. We will go live to windsor, ontario there morning. This view of windsor courtesy of windsor flying club as we kick off the day on a bright note. Look at that, kind of black and white for us this morning. Later on today, the city of toronto will be looking at 26. A little bit cooler for ottawa and montréal. In the teens today. 10 for thunder bay. And 9 for winnipeg. A couple of 15s for regina and edmonton. 12 in vancouver. Over to atlantic canada, mid-to-high 20s. Other temperatures we are following are the temperatures through the atlantic. We have got the hurricane output. The forecast for the season from the national hurricane season in the united states indicating that there is a higher than average risk of seeing more named storms than normal. A couple of different factors that go this. One of them is the temperatures

particularly through the caribbean. They have been trending above seasonal. Already we can see temperatures sitting roughly around 29°. That is a above average. The other big factor is what has been the transition from the el niño year to a la niña year. That has to do with the temperatures in the pacific. It reduces wind sheer through the atlantic. Wind sheer are winds that change direction and speed with height. Wind sheer would be winds that twist as they go up and increase or decrease in speed. That is not conducive to hurricane development. A la niña year means a more conducive environment to see these storms develop. Wind sheer is very conducive to tornadoes. We are certainly seeing that this morning through iowa as we take a look at this line of storms moving its way right now. There is a tornado warning. As they slow down that speed, you can see the rotation itself on the radar. This line of storms capable of producing not only rotation, but also straight line winds that are incredibly damaging and toonie-sized hail through the area. On the north end of that, we are seeing heavy rainfall through southern manitoba and through southeast saskatchewan with rainfall warnings from brandon, all the way eastward toward winnipeg. 50 to 60 millimeters of rain expected here. Some areas are going to flip over to snow due to the presence of cold air. That wind is also responsible for why temperatures have begun to dip in parts of ontario and québec as well. We have gone from the high 20s down to barely making it into the double digits. Overnight tonight, frost. In terms of the rainfall associated with the storms in the U.S. and through the rainfall and flooding concerns in southern manitoba, that will continue through today. East of it, we have lots of sunshine from peterborough area, kingston, through the rest of ontario. Part of why ottawa and montréal is cooler is due to the presence of a weather system in atlantic canada pulling down that colder air keeping it more cloudy. A few showers mixed in. This rain in southern manitoba and northwest ontario for some will flip over to snow. From dauphin to brandon toward winnipeg. Accumulations will be limited. Due to the fact that the ground My Lindo I think they say "on" where indicated in Bold, but it's difficult to hear. Music: yes v.o: Get an early start on Summer with May's Thunder Bay 50/50! Tindz it was perfect. >> Teddy: new this morning... We are learning the competition bureau is investigating the parent company of loblaws and sobeys. Federal court documents show anti-competitive conduct. The grocery giants put controls into their lease agreements to limit potential new tenants. This could prevent independent grocers or new grocery stores to take that space. Sobeys owner empire is calling it unlawful. >> The summer concert series is upon us. And the U.S. department of justice has kicked their season off with the biggest ticket seller. >> We allege that live nation -- for far too long. It is time to break it up. >> Teddy: it's accusing ticketmaster and their parent company live nation of being an illegal monopoly. And along with 30 other states, they are suing. Live nation and ticketmaster merged in 2010 and they now control 60% of concert promotions across 265 north american venues. Also mentioned in the suit, all of those fees that are attached to buying tickets. As for here in canada, our competition bureau won't confirm if they are investigating the company.

Noaa says there's an 85% chance of above normal hurricane activity this summer. They forecast 4 to 7 hurricanes will reach major status. The centre also noting the persistent near local warmth -- the prediction is for storm development, not landfall. We have to see what human impact will be. Hurricane season officially begins on june 1st. >> U.S. senators are calling on canada to step up when it comes to nato spending.
