Announcer: TheFBIfranchise, only on Global. >> Moses: cloudy and rainy weather is going to dictate our forecast here in southern manitoba including in winnipeg today. We're looking at a high of only 11 goings coming up this afternoon. While our graphic is showing winds 10 to 20 kilometres an hour, we're looking at wind gusts that could get up to 50 kilometres per hour across southern manitoba which is under a rainfall warning today. This is and area of the province that is looking at anywhere from 50 to 60 millimetres of rain from when it started last night into tomorrow. Also looking at a dense fog advisory for the churchill area bringing visibility to zero. We're looking at heavy rain this morning which is going to continue into this afternoon and yes, that is not a glitch. You are seeing some snow for the southwestern corner of the province. However, our model here indicating it could be a rain and snow mixture, but it is looking like heavy snow mixed in with the rain. Cooler weather, folks. With that rain moving further north as we get into saturday and sunday, so winnipeg, get ready for 35 millimetres of rain by sunday at 5. Over 40 if you're in the fisher branch area. Now looking at our camping forecast. You can see cooler weather tomorrow. Getting into single digit territory for some areas but by sunday we should see the temperatures warm up a bit with the partly cloudy sky and end it with a wonderful photo from graham from lake of the woods, ontario. >> Sky tracker weather brought to you by the ig wealth management walk for alzheimers may 25th in assiniboine park. >> Moses: the 2024 pwhl finals begin tonight. More on the inaugural season who's chasing the first championship. >> It's down to two teams and the five-game series is tied at

a game each for boston and minnesota. Pwhl play-by-play voice daniella ponticelli joins me with more. >> You were calming the toronto and minnesota games which they were a close series. Minnesota winning 3-2. What stood out to you this that series? >> I just almost couldn't believe it was that series that went to five games. At the beginning of playoffs people were thinking maybe the boston-montreal semi-final is going to extend to five games. Toronto comes out gets back-to-back shutout wins, which has never been done before. What a way to do it. Set the tone, really take advantage of home ice and then they come back to toronto for game five and really was anyone's game before puck drop. I said to my fellow commentator becky keller, I don't know what to expect in game. We had just seen four straight shutouts so seemed like whatever team scored the other team couldn't. Boom. In first period, a first ever - tie game in that series and came down to minnesota certainly putting their foot on the pedal and going for i. They tied things up with boston for the finals. >> Very successful season for prairie players, saskatchewan, manitoba. Kristin campbell in net, she had quite the season. >> Kristin campbell from brandon, manitoba. What's so impressive about her season, a really difficult start for her. She lost so many games at the start and lol -- allowing quite a few goals. She wasn't on the roster for team canada and almost like something reset for kristin campbell because she comes back and they goin' a run. 11 straight wins. Finishes the inaugural season with 16 wins. Seven more than her closest competitor. Talking about the winningest goal goaltender for the regular season. 1.99 goal against average. Really commendable. Through the playoffs she of course recorded two shutout wins for her team and that brings her total in this inaugural season to five shutouts. Really impressive when you were it was a shortened season, only 24 regular season game. >> An amazing series for her and season also. Also in the first round it was three-game sweep for boston versus montreal. Also talking about sophie shirley from saskatoon. She continues in the finals with boston. What's sophie looking like? >> Secondary is so important and sophie shirley made herself known in the playoffs. Game one of the series with montreal she has this beautiful shot. In fact, she was initially credited with the goal but then redirected by her teammate agia, also a fellow canadian. She set that bar. She got an assist on the first playoff goal for boston and most importantly her first goal in the playoffs endped up being the first goal for boston in game three. They were down 2-0 and chantal, as everyone know, they went on to win that one in overtime. What a commanding fashion that boston swept that entire serie against montreal. All in overtime! That's got to sting. They even went to three overtime periods in one game. They played a lot of hockey in a short amount of time. >> Well, we'll be watching pwhl boston and minnesota tonight. Congrats to you on your inaugural season calling these games. Thanks so much. >> Thank you, chantal. >> Thank you. >> Moses: stay with us. Your local headlines are next.
