originally released. Talk to me about getting this book and all your heart and thoughts on paper. >> I think the reason I wrote it, because I didn't know if I would have the time to write it, but I have a lot of people who dm me through social and they might say, trinny, you talked about this thing, where can I find it? So myself and the team -- because we have about 13,000 comments a week -- we would direct people to different things and then there were so many people saying can you just put it in a book? Can you just put it in a book? I thought, I'll just put it in a bloody book. Let's do it. I run a business and it was challenging, but I wanted to put it into what I thought were three categories, meredith, that women and I talk about the most. And the one actually I start with is life. Because we have lots of things that affect us to not be able to -- we have a lovely picture there of necklines -- but I start with life in the book. And then I go on to talk about identifying yourself. So the colour palate is a way of working out what you suit colour-wise and then we go on to skin care, make-up and getting dressed. But in the -- I think what I found over the years and you and I have had conversations about this, it's how we feel emotionally that allows us to then decide, let's push ourselves on how we get dressed in the morning or let's think about why we're making an effort for ourselves or let's get the motivation to get out of bed and want to dodo that. So there's a lot of stuff about how I just bring up a subject in each chapter and at the end of each chapter I'll say, ask yourself and challenge yourself, because over the years I'm not good at being a passive reader. I quite like a manual. I want to think at the end. I'm the kind of person who highlights stuff in a book. So I wanted there to be action from the book, and you can dip into a chapter and think, am I about intuition or instinct? Do I know the difference? What's my relationship with it like and how does it affect my daily life. Could it be my hormones affecting me or is it just I'm feeling low? I hope to give enough about each subject matter that people can think, do I want to explore that more? >> Meredith: the way you've decided to edit it together, it's brilliant because you give us the tools but you also give us the information. I mean, itt really is -- it's one of the books -- I read it and said I want to give this to every woman I know because it sets you up in whatever decade you're in. And also gets personal to you as well. We see you, you're so successful, and you have been in every chapter of your life. But you do let us into that gap for you, from where you were to where you are. I always find that -- >> I thought I've not always been successful at all, meredith. I've had definitely what I call ten-year cycles, you know? Where things have gone in one direction and then I've had to have a reset. And sometimes that reset is a really financial one where I've been at a rock bottom in my mental and, you know, finances, and started over again. I probably had a reset three times in my life and each time I think, you know, from those moments that you learn a lot more than from moments of success. >> Meredith: yes. And we appreciate you sharing all of that. We're tight on time and I just -- I mean, I could talk to you like we do forever and ever. If we have one piece of advice that you could pull from the book or saying to canadian women because you have a fan base here, what would you say to us, trinny? >> 99% of oh everything we worry about never happens. >> Meredith: hmm. That's true. That's so true. That's a mic drop moment. We'll take it aund run with that. The book is fearless. It's available now. It's a must-read. Trinny, thank you for being here with us this morning. If you do not follow this woman on instagram on TikTok, everything -- did I say tic tac? TikTok >> That's okay, we can rename it. That was fabulous. Thank you for having me on, meredith. >> Meredith: enjoy! Have a great day. Get this book, fearless is out right now. A must-read. You and me, we're family! >> Tracy: the new comedy flick "babes" follows two best friends navigating the love, joy and messiness of parenthood at different stages in life. It is brilliant. This morning we're joined by one of the lead stars, actress and comedian, ilana glazer! Welcome to "bt"! [ cheering ] >> Thank you so much for having me. Thank you! >> Tracy: I'm so excited to have you here. This movie, I was howling. It is highly relatable. I mean, right from the get-go. The opening scenes in this movie, I've never seen a more relatable portrayal of that discomfort of pregnancy and the birthing experience. Nothing is right, you can be on all fours, on your back, crawling -- it is so -- it is so accurate, and also this thing that was sort of like a sucker punch for me, this idea of, I have it all and nothing at once. >> Yes. >> Tracy: what a drop-kick to the chest when I heard -- like seriously! I was like, that's it! >> Yeah, yeah. >> Tracy: you nailed it! >> Thank you. >> Tracy: how important was it for you to capture that juxtaposition between loving your kids but also needing a bit of a break? >> I'm like -- you're giving me so much life with how I'm feeling, how it resonated with you and I appreciate it so much. Because that -- I think, you know, this movie is really, really funny and that I feel confident in. I've been doing comedy for 18 years, since I was 19 years old. I don't do math so good. But I think that's right. >> Tracy: [ Laughter ] >> But the -- I think the like depths of how hard it is and how joyous parenthood is was really important for me and my co-writer to capture. But as you're saying this about like, you know, the discomfort of labour and nothing is right, I'm like, it's just -- that's life. Life is uncomfortable. >> Tracy: yeah. >> And having a kid I've found so far is just an amplification of what already was with. So I think, you know, the joys in life and the loss and frustration is something that as you get older you're more able

to handle. But when you're a parent it's like another life's worth of that joy and loss that you have to hold. And it's -- it's -- I think it's very much like sort of popping off the screen, this movie. >> Tracy: yes. >> It's real. >> Tracy: there wasn't a wasted scene. Let's put it that way. >> Thank you. We -- >> Tracy: great perspective that you have there. >> Thank you. >> Tracy: it's a microcosm of what real life is, right? >> Thank you. >> Tracy: how did the idea come about for the movie? >> So I was pregnant and my co-writer's wife was pregnant, and our quarterback, qb number one producer susie fox had a one and a three-year-old. Ouch, dude! You did that fast! I couldn't do it that fast. And we -- susie had this sort of vision in the shower, it came to her. Me and a best friend and the best friend has kids and I get "knocked up" and keep the baby. From there we put together a list of the most surprising and absurd things we were experiencing as pregnant people, as the partner of a pregnant person and as a relatively new parent. We found ourselves not able to find it. We're working across the U.S. and canada, this friday, and talking about it in the marketing meetings. There's nothing for this movie. You don't see women tell this story through a hard comedy lens and not about centring two women. So we -- that surprised us and we just knew we had to make this movie. >> Tracy: well, let's stay on that theme, then. Because when you find a bestie that will check the rate at which your water is breaking or how dilated you are, like, I mean, this is friendship. >> Yes, yes. >> Tracy: how much of this film is actually a love story about friendship? Because that is -- that theme was beautiful to me throughout >> Yeah, I mean, the whole -- I think that's the core, the seed. This list we put together, we were like, this is so funny. Like the amniocentesis scene. You don't have to do anything except the fact that it exists to make it funny. I didn't have one, josh's wife doesn't have one. Hearing about what it is, I get it. I can imagine that happening to a horse or a cow. Human woman? Like, that's crazy. There is so little we had to do to make the reality funny. But the thread that kept pulling us through the story was how friendships change during this time. >> Tracy: yeah. >> And how the uncertainty of the loss you are definitely going to endure is a big deal. >> Tracy: it is. It absolutely is. We don't talk about the platonic relationships enough. They're so crucial! >> Yes. >> Tracy: I could go on and on. Not a wasted scene. All incredible, deep, deep, deep, but also funny af! Fun sunny funny! >> Thank you. >> Tracy: "babes" is out in theatres tomorrow, everyone. Give her some love! [ applause ] >> Thank you, appreciate you. >> Tracy: well done! We've talked about babies. We have to talk about news. Over to tammie with some news. >> Good luck [ Laughter ]. [ ] >> Tammie: well, it is history in the making. Women's professional basketball is coming to canada. Officials are making the announcement in toronto right now as the city has been awarded the wnba's first franchise outside of the U.S. our caryn ceolin is joining us live now from just outside of the news conference with more on what this means for canadian basketball fans. Good morning, caryn. >> Caryn: good morning, tammie. So, yes, as you mentioned, any moment now at hotel x it will be officially announced that toronto has been awarded the wnba's first franchise outside of the U.S. with canada's expansion team slated to hit the court in 2026. So we know that the team will be owned by kilmer sports ventures, that's a division of the group owned by toronto billionaire larry tanenbaum. He is a minority owner as well as the chairman of maple leafs sports and entertainment, which owns a number of toronto franchises including the raptors. So what we know is that toronto's new team will be playing at the 8700 seat coca-cola coliseum at toronto's exhibition place with the opportunity to move up to scotiabank arena on occasion. This will be the franchise's 14th -- the league's 14th franchise, I should say. Another thing we know for sure, tammie is that fans, they're going to be packing the house. Last year, the wnba sold out pre-season games here in canada at scotiabank arena. The league itself had its most watched regular season as well as one of its highest average attendances in recent years in
