It was exactly one year ago this weekend when claire markovich' daughter sloan was getting set to run the calgary marathon but the family's lives took a turn when sloan was diagnosed with stage four cancer. >> Basically she had every kind of modality throughout her from chemo to radiation to hydro chemo, stem cell transplants back surgery and the way onto immunotherapy. So it will be an immense journey for us. >> Reporter: to show her support for her daughter and in an effort to raise money for the alberta children's hospital, you put together a team of over 185 people to run in the calgary restaurant and so far they read over $100,000. And is excited to lose again next year. >> Reporter: as for sloan because she is now in remission and continues to make strides every day.
