Yes, we offer a triple warranty that covers our windows, patio doors and the installation. A lot of companies here in the Toronto area warrant their windows. But what happens if that company goes out of business? Well, exactly. Renewal by Andersen is a full service replacement window division of Andersen, which is a family of U.S. and Canadian companies. They've been around for over 115 years. So we'll be here to stand behind our warranty. You replace a lot of vinyl windows here in the Toronto area. Home fibrics is a composite material that's two times stronger than vinyl and really just much more beautiful. And right now, renewal by Andersen has a great deal for Toronto area homeowners. It is official toronto is getting a wnba team. Kilmer

sports ventures led by mlse chair larry tanenbaum has been awarded the team, which is going to join the league in 2026. The franchise will be the 14th in the wnba after the expansion with golden state. They will start to play next year. Toronto's as yet unnamed team will play out of coca cola coliseum over to exhibition place. This is the first franchise outside of the U.S. and it's expected to play some games in vancouver and montreal. Now the city of toronto will join us. >> This is all possible. >> Because of larry tanenbaum and kilmer sports ventures. They have been determined partners committed to bringing a wnba franchise here to canada. We've been in conversations with larry for a while. And it became clear that he and his team have the experience, the infrastructure, the this is a visionary ownership group. And to larry and judy, there is no one we would rather partner with to take the w's first et on our journey to becoming more globally. >> First and foremost, this franchise will be canada's team while our home base will be here right here. Coca cola coliseum at exhibition place in toronto. We will play games in vancouver and montreal throughout the season, uniting the country behind our franchise and inspiring pride and passion in fans from coast to coast. We will always be committed to providing a world-class player and personnel experience for all who represent our city and country through this team. We know that investing in our players is paramount to their success on and off the court. >> This means an investment in expert staff, state-of-the-art facilities and create unmatched home court advantage. That raises the bar for every franchise in the league. >> Through thick and thin through heartbreak and triumph and heartbreak. Torontonians consistently demonstrate their passion, their commitment and their love for professional sports. Toronto is also a diversity welcoming city and a progressive city. So it should come as no surprise that when it hosted the first-ever wnba game in canada a year ago. It's sold out and set records for attendance broadcast viewership and merchandise sales. >> Just imagine growing up here in toronto and then playing for for toronto team. It's a what a dream that would be an you know, commissioner, thank you for everything you're you brought this to a whole different level. >> And that's showing the commissioner about the diversity of our of our province. >> 110 national these think of that over 200 languages being spoken and this is going to be truly not just a toronto team. As larry, you're saying it's going to be the canadian team. >> I speak for the cause, the entire city when I say we excited too. Watch the new team compete and I work with city council to make sure that we are ready for another huge championship parade. >> And maritime was also declared today, wnba day here in the city of toronto. It is 10:34 22 degrees. Let's bring in lisa now with a look at the roads lead to how are things shaping up there. You know, if you have anywhere to I want to cruise with windows down. It is a beautiful day. Roads are bare and dry, but we are dealing with some slowdowns and some north 427 collectors near burnhamthorpe. There's a stall in the left lane, not a huge jim. There. East garden into downtown that's loading up again. Typically from just past south kingsway through the jameson stretch. This is obviously east of jameson. We have that long-term lane realignments north valley park way. This is north of the gardner through eastern left lane out with a maintenance crew. And I'm still waiting to hear if we have any restrictions on the south valley, partly because it really has been slow off the 404 from finch right down towards the gardner. And this really is unusual for this time of the day. Unless we have lane restrictions. So when I get those, a confirmation of restrictions on what you know, east 4, one typically slows as well in sections 427 through the 400 good news ttc line. One service has resumed. Sinclair bloor yonge a northbound kipling at evans. Still hearing about a collision course. Also it back to you. Thank you, welcome. Gta. Police service is launching a campaign to fight street racing project erase, which stands for eliminate racing activity on streets everywhere. >> We'll be taking off at exhibition place at 11 this morning. Police from toronto, york peel region halton hamilton and the opp will all be in attendance. They say they're coming together for this campaign because street racing has no jurisdictional boundaries. The man in his 40's is dead after a double shooting outside a mississauga school. Shots were fired in the parking lot of sellers. Green public school along montevideo road. This is near winston churchill boulevard and battleford road. This happened after 11 last night. You see there is still a pretty significant police presence in the area. Officers collecting evidence, trying to figure out what happened here. We know the 2 victims were

originally taken to hospital in life-threatening condition for one, did not survive. Police say the victim in hospital is a male under the age of 20 who still remains in critical condition. >> We're not sure at the time right now at present that the vehicles on how they are related to the investigation. That is something that will be certain to to update. And we're looking into right now at the time, it was a it was pretty populated in the evening varying reports of anywhere from 10 to 20 people gathered in that lot for we reasons, we don't know yet the time of the shooting. There are reports of vehicles leaving the but it's unfortunately, it's too early to tell at moments of whether those witnesses or suspects or just individuals the sound of gunfire. >> O it's crazy. Like I never thought this area with like of stuff. You know. Because we moved to because it's like a really safe, like nice part of mississauga. So. >> It's like a really scary. >> And investigators say they don't have any suspect information at this time. But several vehicles fled the area and some witnesses have come forward. A man has been rushed to hospital after a stabbing in the west. And the call for this came in around 5:00pm to the area of jane and alliance. That's north of st. Clair. According to paramedics, the man in his 20's was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. A suspect information has been released. Police also investigating a stabbing that happened near the dufferin mall. Officers responded to the park across the street from the mall just shortly after 4.30 yesterday, the man in his 20's was taken to hospital. He is expected to be okay. Officers say they're still looking for a suspect in this case. Described as a man with dreadlocks was wearing all black clothing. One person taken to hospital after a car crashed into a home in markham. This collision happened on batch for cresson. It's in the donald cousins parkway and steeles area just after 10 last night. The injured person is expected to recover. There's no word on what caused the driver to veer right off the road and go into the house. Well, police in hamilton say they're now looking for the public's help after a number of shootings in the city more than doubled over the past year. And among the cases a day like gunfight. That happened just moments after some kids walked through the scene. Ctv's sean leathong has those details. >> There have been brazen daylight shootings, buildings indiscriminately shot under cover of darkness. >> And several suspects at large hamilton is experiencing a steep increase in gun violence. That this point we're running a record a record pace in 2024. There have been 22 shootings more than double last year and on pace to beat their record year in 2019. The most recent just this past weekend, 3 suspects seen fleeing after shooting at apartment building in many of the shootings. Police say they're encountering big obstacles. Their too many instances of refusal to help us. So they're appealing to the public for help. This video taken on may 13th shows a little girl walking down the wnba commissioner speaking, we're going to listen in data looks good. >> Let's grant a franchise, you've got to have a connection and a partnership with the potential owner and you want them to be successful. And as I look at larry business, I think premier said his businesses sports innisfil profit tree to the city. Actually it >> Yeah, we look all the time kind of a neutral city neutral you know, maybe we would do it for city that were really serious about on expansion for the next 2 expansion yeah, it's a possibility. Yeah, the other thing is we have such an avid a rabid fan base in the cities that we're so even the commissioner cup championship, you know, we've got about neutral-site all-star, we thought about neutral site. >> Probably not a home game for team because then they lose that game revenue and then the league has to put it on. But yet maybe for some of our temple and what I think it's a unique situation here in canada. If you want to open up the canadian media market. The canadian corporate partner market, just maybe one city and a country of this size and scale, probably with the right answer. So it was larry's idea, let's maybe make this more like canada's team. Let's play games montreal and no set yet because we haven't even set the number of games we will be playing in 2026 cars. That will be the first year of a new collective bargaining agreement. So as we get into those negotiations on the number of games, we'll see how many games that we actually do

play outside they they would certainly that weigh in on things specific to toronto. Say you can play toronto, but I think actually, you know, there were in a partnership with city you have a whole >> Okay, we're just lessening into this media avail involving the wnba commissioner here in toronto announcing toronto getting a team play will start in she was also talking when making this huge announcement today about the data doing all of the research really showing the toronto has the fan base and certainly a lot of fan excitement over the league moving north of the border here to toronto will continue to follow that developing story for you.
