Hot docs is closing it's flagship theatre for three months and lang off a number of staff. The hot docs ted rogers cinema on blue earth street will be temporarily shuttered in mid june while the organization does an internal financial review. The annual hot docs film festival wrapped up earlier this month but many of that year-round programs at the theatre are no being paused. The nonprofit agency has been fighting for it's life for a while now. Nearly one dozen staff members and hundred and resignations earlier this year. And a significantly better outcome for some staff at the province's long-term care homes. And arbitrator decided members of the ontario nurses association will receive an 11.5 percent raise over the next two years. The union represents nurses, personal support workers and healthcare aids. Leaders say that this is the most significant wage boost in the sector in more than 30 years and then just over two weeks time, mississauga residents will be heading to the polls to decide on a new mayor.
