Corrective action is being taken against detective brian gillis, who didn't have his body-worn camera running when he approached scottie scheffler's vehicle last week. Scheffler was trying to drive around a fatal accident outside a ken tug tucky golf course that was hosting the pga championship. That's when gillis approached him by telling him to stop. The officer was allegedly dragged to the ground by scheffler's car, leading to the arrest but no video exists of the initial interaction between the pair. It's not clear what type of discipline the detective will face for not turning his camera on. Scheffler spent a brief time in jail but made it back to the course in time for tee-off.
