>>> Halton police say that three people have died since friday in two separate suspected opioid poisonings in halton hills. The victims have not been identified and police have also not named the specific substance linked to the deaths. He is the only first nation mpp and it is expected that his mother, sister, brothers, friends and elders will be in attendance. This will be the first time ever that the ontario legeglature will allow, interpret and transcribe a language other than english or french. >>> The blue jays are looking to shake off their toughest loss of the season so far, a 14-11 walk-off loss to the detroit tigers. They are in chicago this afternoon against the white sox, a team they took two of three games from last week in rogers centre. Chris bassitt starts for toronto. It starts at 2:10 because of the long weekend in the U.S. >>> 8:09 here on "bt." time now to take a look at the forecast. I forgot, I was out in niagara-on-the-lake over the weekend and I forgot it was memorial day. The more I saw more americans I was like, oh, yes, that's right. Everyone is coming up here to celebrate, which is nice. >> Natasha: exactly. Usually our long weekends line up, right? >> Tammie: no, they're always one apart. Yeah, one week apart. >> Natasha: okay, okay. I thought because ours was early this year, right? -- >> Tammie: yeah, no. >> Natasha: welcome to all the americans. Welcome to the metric system. This is celsius. >> Tammie: it only makes sense. I don't know why they still use -- >> Natasha: it's like them and one other country in the world. >> Tammie: I think it's burma. >> Natasha: I was going to say liberia. I don't know. Anyway, here we go. We're going to go metrtr. They're looking at this going, whoa! That's cold! But it's not. It's feeling like the MID-20s. A a titch of humidity out there this morning. This was the first storm that rolled through toronto. Lightning crossing over the ontario border into québec. Here comes the next round of rain, heavy at times along with thunderstorms and gusty winds and the lightning has just also crossed over the border in towards sarnia. The rain and the -- the rain and the thunderstorms they will be here around 9, 10 o'clock this morning. Heavy at times. Ponding and pooling. Lots of lightning expected with this. We will have strong wind gusts as they come through. The timing is not great. Right around the lunch hour when kids are having lunch and going outside. For all the teachers and parents out there. Make sure if there's lightning, bring the kids inside. These storms may be more intense and possibly severe out through eastern ontario this afternoon. Then we'll get sunny breaks but that could help to pop up more of these showers and thunderstorms, especially to the north. And then we will be dry here. Overcast but dry this evening. Now, this rain is going to be a fast 15 to 25 millimetres. That's what the blue part is. The purple heavier rain. It's just the -- it's not so much that it's 15 millimetres of rain, it's that it could come down in less than an hour, right? Severe storms possible to the east. Tuesday, this is going to be straight-up rain. No storms expected tomorrow with a couple of millimetres of rain and dry through the rest of the week starting wednesday and going into the weekend, weekend look-ahead also looking to stay dry. [ ] >> Announcer: breakfast television's weather report is brought to you by off, insect repellant, prevention is the best protection. [ ] >> Stephanie: hey, good morning, natasha! Good morning, everybody! Oh, your roads today, they're busy. That is for sure. On the westbound qew is where we begin, because we have earlier problems that look like they're on their way to clearing up. A vehicle on its roof, looks like it's being hooked up now and the other vehicle is out of here. Hopefully these lanes open up soon. On the westbound qew as you approach dixie, go right lanes blocked off because of this collision. It's solid. Impacting two sets of highways here, the 427 and the gardiner. So that's a look at the gardiner right now from about kipling in both the express and collectors. You'll find delays as we make our way over towards the 427 and of course the qew. That's a look at the qew, just west of the 427. Making our way over towards where we do have the right lanes still taken out. Then that's a look at the southbound 427. Solid from just south of burnhamthorpe in the express down to the qew ramp. I do want to note on the opposite side of the highway, just inn the express, it's tough to see, but on the northbound 427 approaching bloor in the express, we have a left shoulder

blocked because of a stopped vehicle. It's not adding to delays through this area. Again, 427 heading down towards the qew-gardiner, not a pretty picture this morning. Southbound 404-dvp combo, watch watching volume delays. Jammed up on the southbound 404-dvp combo from davis drive to south of mulock, elgin mills to 16th and finch down to south of lawrence off and on. Finding delays through don mills. Over on the westbound gardiner, seeing delays from about yonge heading towards long-term construction between strachan and dufferin where it's down to two lanes.
