Over 320 shows performed in canada of this incredible cast. 320,000 people saw the show. Huge canadian success story and the original six actors that started this show in edmonton when it first came to canada closed it yesterday. >> Sid: wow. >> Meredith: there wasn't a dry eye in the house. After every song the audience gave a standing ovation. Incredible show by mirvish and it was an honour to be there last night on stage. Congratulations to that entire cast and crew! I can only imagine what a party they had last night to celebrate. But it was very emotional. They've been a big part of this show. Thank you to the six incredible women, what a history you have created in this city. Good on you. >> Sid: to the surprise of absolutely no one on this team, mer was asked to be a part of that final show in some way because she's that talented. Looked like a lot of fun. >> Meredith: it was. >> Sid: good stuff. Good morning, it's 8:01, you're wching "bt." [ ] >> Tammie: time has run out. It's been almost a month since a pro-palestinian encampment took over part of the university of toronto campus and the school is expected to enforce a strict deadline this hour. Our caryn ceolin is live on school grounds this morning with the latest. I know a rally is expected to start this hour as well, caryn? >> Caryn: yeah, good morning, tammie. So that rally is expected to get underway any moment now in solidarity with pro-palestinian protesters who have been camped out at the university of toronto's king's college campus for weeks now. I'll just give you a look at the scene here, dozens of supporters have showed up. This rally is taking part in place -- pardon me, is taking part with the support of several labour unions in ontario, including the ontario federation of labour. Now, university officials said they would seek an injunction in court to force those who are entrenched on campus out of school grounds if they did not comply with the trespass order that was issued by the school on

friday. Pro-palestinian protesters had been given a deadline of 8 A.M. this morning. And so that is why they are holding this rally here today. Now, protesters want the university to immediately disclose its public investments in companies that are they say benefitting from the war in gaza. The university of toronto yesterday offered or countered with an offer of its own to the protesters, basically saying that they would form work groups to consider that request. However, protesters and they're supporters felt that that was not enough and they say that they are prepared to send representatives from their own legal group to court to fight the injunction that the university is seeking. So as I mentioned taking part in this rally this morning is the ontario federation of labour. Its president laura walton previously issued a statement, basically saying that they're taking part because universities should be with where we learn to debate and disagree with each other without the fear of violence. The statement added, for canada's largest university to decide unilaterally when the debate should end and when police repression should begin is a betrayal of the values we claim to up hold. So by the looks after it, there are dozens of people who are here. This rally is about to get underway any moment now. Of course, it is past that 8 m. Deadline, and we are waiting to hear from encampment organizers, how they plan to proceed, tammie. >> Tammie: all right, we will be standing by live there to hear that directly from them as well as any other updates once this rally gets underway. Caryn ceolin live at the u of t, thank you for that. >>> A solidarity gathering is set to take place this morning outside of an all girls jewish school in north york after shots rang out there over the weekend. Police found multiple bullet holes in the windows of the school at dufferin and finch on saturday morning. They're still searching for suspects in this case. Prime mimister justin trudeau, mayor olivia chow and premier doug ford have all condemned the act, calling it antisemitism. The rise in targeted incidents against jewish people have prompted both toronto police and york police to expand their presence at jewish schools and synagogue synagogues. We are live at the school that was targeted this weekend. Here is a live look this morning where you can see there is still a police presence there as they get set to return to the class today. Many supporters including mayor olivia chow will be in attendance for this solidarity gathering that's hosted by the uja. We do have word that toronto police chief myron demkiw has already arrived there as people are here on the sidewalk ready to take part in this rally. It's set to start in half an hour's time at 8:30.
