City of brotherly love? Philadelphia Eagles' C.J. Gardner-Johnson's car stolen after playoff win

C.J. Gardner-Johnson's celebration was cut short after the Philadelphia Eagles' 38-7 win over the New York Giants in the NFC divisional round on Saturday night.

The safety's car was stolen soon after on Monday. To make matters worse, Gardner-Johnson revealed that his vehicle was taken in their hometown of Philadelphia.

"That’s how y’all get down in Philly.. after a win?" he said on Instagram Live.

The 25-year-old said the theft was captured "on camera," as he appeared to watch surveillance footage. Gardner-Johnson added that he knows who the perpetrator is.

Gardner-Johnson was drafted out of Florida by the New Orleans Saints in 2019. He was traded to the Eagles in 2022 and made an instant impact. He had a league-leading six interceptions this year, tied with Minkah Fitzpatrick, Justin Simmons and Tariq Woolen.

Gardner-Johnson had three tackles and one pass defended during the Eagles' blowout of the Giants. The Eagles take on the San Francisco 49ers in Sunday’s NFC championship game next.

He is not the only football player down on their luck.

Michigan running back Blake Corum reported his custom camouflage-wrapped Camaro  stolen earlier this month in Ann Arbor. Police records show it was stolen from a parking garage.
