Don't want to come down for those in lots of rides down here for the fairgrounds and come check it all out and be open today for the last day from 1030 till 5. Get your diy on during the get ready for summer sale here at home hardware with dealer deals on pain and on global one, this is shane blakely. >> Kevin: thanks, shane. 11 degrees in downtown edmonton, yes, does look like the showers quite stop that I did actually make it outside to look at it was showering but now it stopped on the outside here so 11 degrees downtown and northwest wind that 8 km/hour and still fairly cloudy but shane says he's got the viewpoint from seeing a bit of clearing here and there so that some good news. Let's have a look across the country for today. And high time to with showers and the forecasts and 18 degrees in saskatoon at 19 and meadow lake and 19 and 18 degrees and 19 degrees in winnipeg and yellow life knife today with 18 and partly cloudy skies in norman while 17 degrees today and into the winnipeg region looking at temperatures of around that 19-degree mark they today and into northern ontario and thunder bay and timmons at 24 and tronic 19 degrees and partly cloudy and out of 124 in montreal and partly cloudy and 24 degrees and 17 degrees in fredericton and halifax at 14 and cape breton at 11 in st. John windy and 6 degrees for the high today. Satellite and radar pictures and the rain not quite as heavy around us today I'm putting that in a bit closer and seeing it moving off in behind their little but of clear skies moving up. Moving for a little bit to the west south of red deer to calgary and stormy there and we will keep her eyes there in the thunder for those areas another low area precipitation moving through medicine hat and through lethbridge and medicine hat region and often to saskatchewan border area and looking at futurecast and what we see now we will see a lot during the day and that rain, and go and that's why we have a 60 percent of shower throughout the day today and these little areas like that there and hereby white courts sitting into the suppertime and a few little thunderstorms wanting to develop in there and that's why we had some chance of seeing thunderstorms and forecasts and 3:30 P.M. A.M. and that will be the case as we head through the day tomorrow and through the rest of the week coming up, and lots of sunshine and lots of warm temperatures with light winds are at least winds from the south and southwest which is bringing in that warm air to the area. So we are expecting today 16 and 17 degrees in edmonton and 15 and red deer and 16 in calgary and 18 then lethbridge and medicine hat at 18 and coronation and cold like an lac la biche and 21 and fort mcmurray and 19 and high level in 23 peace river and 20 in grand prairie and 16 in jasper and 12 degrees in banff. 9 degrees for us overnight with a few showers and 40 percent chance of that continuing overnight tonight and chance of thunderstorm probably ending in the later evening hours that can take us through later and tomorrow, lots of sunshine and south ones at 20 km/hour the with mostly sunny skies in the long-range forecast shows tuesday's the more stay of the week and 26 degrees with a low of 10 and into wednesday, 18 degrees with a low of 12 and thursday 15 degrees with a low of 8 and 20 degrees on friday and 24 degrees on saturday and 23 degrees expected on sunday. shane blakely up an global one. >> Kevin: why mention the rain stopped last time and we're starting to pick up drops on her lens once again just a few sprinkles starting to move through the edmonton area once again and while it doesn't bother these people as they are all lined up over here for the big bend events coming up. At the castle downs brecht sent a and yes, few people still lined up over here to castle downs roads around 257th avenue-- as I mentioned yesterday, sundays are in a bit of a shorter lineup compared to saturday and it's true today and I'd say it's about two to three blocks shorter and on 257th avenue but then this was lineup much longer. Welcome back to chefs challenge. Earlier in the show ... From ... Challenged me to make .... Here's where I left off. Now we are joined by scott downey - owner of the marc and chef by trade to tell me how I did! I will admit I did already realize one of the mistakes I made and that was in the initial sauce part. And I needed you to blend them twice spirits hopefully I don't pay the price for that and I will find out from scott if it really messes up the recipe and justly know calm before I didn't get to show you how I made the seller cure but I put in butter and I made sure they were translucent with the shallots and then.when I added the milk on the cream and all that kind of stuff and from the salary. And then not the stock with the salary. The route. And now we are moving onto in the best part of this the scallops. I made sure my pan is really hot and I don't have a cast-iron bit hopefully this is going to do as well. There's lots of butter inside. Making both sides of this scalloped really, really hot so that it cooks quickly but then it gets a nice and crispy side to each part. So we are doing that and lots of butter and I pureed my salary puree and now I just wait for this to cook and I know it won't take very long but I want to be very careful and I will do that and then the bacon is standing by which is also called the lord and I will mix the and lots of moving parts to this and you're kind of working in tandem with each different parts of it which is neat and I take it out with my chefs hat because I don't know if I earned it anymore after my performance today but this is looking pretty good 90 to throw much of the butter on so his video, you cook kind of drizzling it in the butter to get that labour but it is tricky to do I mean, kudos to these chefs like they are skilled individuals and I definitely learned a lot today and lots of things I cooked for change which is cool so, make sure you dress it all up and I don't want to burn it though because that's what's really tricky but we will see and keep looking.and looking like it's done okay. I better hurry up and tick-tock. So I'm going to take these outdone and I wouldn't mind them a little crispy but what are you going to do, better than burnt. Looking at the side first second and I'm going to quickly and then I will add the bacon and here and I've been following this rate I'm adding the bacon and there and then I'm going to add my other sauce and I'm a bit afraid to I don't want to mess up the river goat because I think this is what were supposed to do so to keep our viewers waiting and I am good. It's nice to have the chef standing by for a little extra help you know. So cook that and it's going to be an amazing slaver and that's for sure. And with that mixed up it smells incredible and then we will also be plaiting very, very soon so, okay, I will say, I never made puree before or this type of sauce so it's very interesting and scallops are a lot less
