Game two didn't get off to the best* start for the oilers. Jamie benn gets the puck past stuart skinner to open up the scoring on the stars first shot on net.

but under a minute later... Oiler connor brown responds - tying the game at one. And the game remained tied until mason marchment tips it in giving the stars the 2-1 lead. Two minutes left in this one âc“ the oilers pull on the game remained tied until stuart skinner to open up the scoring on the stars first shot on net. Two minutes left in this one and the oilers pulled their goalie and some might say a bit too early in dallas capitalizes....scoring an empty netter to add a cushion and seal a 3-1 win....as the oilers drop game two and dallas ties the series 1-1. >>you never like to... Didn't lose then we didn't capitalize. >> It's nice to contribute offensively 5 on 5. Like my process game is good. And having fun out there. It's obviously fun to score. >> If you had told me for 5 days ago against dallas who knocked out vegas. Colorado and for us to common to play very well. To split one. So we would've taken that. >> Lisa: luckily the series now shifts to rogers place for game three tomorrow. Puck drop is shortly after 6:30 and you can catch all the action live on 630 ched. We'll also have full team coverage on global news at 5...6 and 11 monday. No matter where you look in edmonton - it's hard *not* to find some orange and blue. The city is fully invested in this year's stanley cup playoff run. So invested - that some businesses are seeing a *drop* in customers anytime the oilers hit the ice. Jasmine king has the story. >> Reporter: when the oilers aren't inaction, tarred to find somewhere downtown that isn't packed full of fans. The fan parking ice district plaza sees thousands of people each game and while one arena is full, another sitting empty. The silent eye centre is exactly that during oilers games-- silent, when typically it's quite the opposite. >> Nonstop noise, kids on the ice, kids off the ice, parents everywhere and right now we could throw a bowling ball through your not hit anyone because everyone's focus. >> Reporter: on the oilers the facilities is hosting a determinant this weekend but it's nice to book time around game too. Any other night-- all the action would be in their own ranks. >> Games wall-to-wall, to games on the video wall and patch karina crespo will be busy as well. >> Reporter: for anyone looking to the traffic, there's plenty of room after the puck drop by and there's also a lot of spaces like businesses that activate who usually have people lined up to go inside. >> It's been slower-- it's not dead but it's definitely a decline for sure. >> Reporter: activate is a physical and mental gaming facility for challenges of people of all ages. Although they are not seeing a rush during oilers game-- they are still getting in the spirit. >> They love to have fun with the people who are or their fans get them about the game and get them excited about our games because they're excited about the games. So it generates a very positive environment. >> Reporter: of positivity that could hopefully translate to game three victory. Jasmine king, global news >> Lisa: I finally found out about the stanley cup woman-- the woman that dresses up for every game and this week and I found out about her and I mean, got to hand it to her, every game, good for you! That's a lot of work. >> Kevin: the bolt... Make your statement and you gotta do it. >> Lisa: what weather statement are you making today? >> Kevin: not as nice as yesterday and certainly not as nice as tomorrow or tuesday or wednesday. >> Lisa: that's okay, that's a positive way to look at it. >> Kevin: today we got a bit of shower activity and we saw few shares. >> Lisa: oh, we did, did notice. >> Kevin: actually got a few when we came to work. >> Lisa: I did notice. >> Kevin: the roads were bitten wet when I came in yesterday. Sort of an overcast outside right now and yes after that with sunshine and warm temperatures on the way and that's a look at the orchards right now 10 degrees is the current tempter and looking downtown edmonton, 11 degrees with partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies and northwest winds at 5 km/hour so-- a relatively warm morning and not assigning sunny and little sunny space in there but... Generally speaking we are overcast and expecting some showers later on this afternoon that turns into possibly of seeing thundershowers as well. Looking at satellite and radar pictures right now, we got some shower activities right around city of edmonton-- same thing in calgary and not a big surprise in there. Only calling for that yesterday looks like it's here for today. Are relatively cloudier day and then the active shower activity right over the city right now certainly up to slave lake and fort mcmurray so not quite as stable as yesterday and certainly not a stable as we are getting into tomorrow. Moving out of the claire's home region in south and east of calgary into medicine hat region. We also have some showers moving in the direction there.
