There is fog in some parts but this is when you want to open up the windows of the house and have that fresh spring smell inside because it is quite lovely. Perfect for game three here in the city. Tracey, how is the fog affecting the morning commute? >> Tracie: we have low-lying fog so don't be surprised when you are driving if you come across some fog it could reduce visibility so watch out for that. In the meantime you can see it on our cameras downtown along here and there anthony henday also reports on the quesnel bridge. So be careful about. We have more information on construction coming up with traffic in just a moment. >> Narrator: you are watching global edmonton. This is global news morning. Tonight is game three in the 'western conference finals', between the edmonton oilers and dallas stars. >> Erin: with the series now tied a game a piece, the team is back in edmonton for games 3 and 4. Jasmine king has more on the oilers prep work, to take back the momentum. >> Jasmine: that would be the one to push the stars past the oilers in game two and they would add an empty-netter. Certainly not the result the team was hoping for, captain connor mcdavid says the loss comes after a strong first period. >> Connor mcdavid: thought it was close all game long really. I thought we had a good start, great response there by brownie and his whole line. >> Jasmine: for most of game two, the oilers and stars were evenly matched. But it wasn't enough to walk away with a win. >> Conor mcdavid: going into the third you know it's going to be one of those, it's a shot from the blue line, it's a tip, it's a greasy goal if you will. But they obviously got it, played off of it. We had our looks but we couldn't really capitalize towards the end. >> Jasmine: the ice district plaza was packed again saturday night, as thousands of fans were cheering the team on from home. Who now anxiously await their return. Sunday morning coach kris knoblauch says this isn't a bad position to be in. >> Kris knoblauch: you win the first one you always wanna win the next one and its nice that we're gonna go back to edmonton, in front of our crowd and at home. >> Jasmine: the oilers outshot the stars in both games.

but so far they're not seeing their usual powerplay time. The stars have only taken three penalties this series. Ryan nugent hopkins knows they can't waste opportunities going forward. >> Speaker: every chance that you have, you have to bear down as hard as you can. Obviously they will not all go in. But if you have a chance, you have to bear down as much as you can because it could be the difference maker in a game or even in a series. >> Jasmine: game 3 goes monday night, and with the split series. There's no red flags just yet. >> Kris knoblauch: I don't think we need to panic, I don't think we need to change anything. Over the course of time, things will go in. >> Jasmine: jasmine king, global news. And ice district plaza, other >> Erin: our city's downtown is bustling during game day, particularly the fan park and ice district plaza, other parts of our city are looking like a ghost town. From ice rinks to roadways and entertainment facilities. Once the puck drops, they are all pretty much empty as edmontonians focus their attention on the game. Activate is a physical and and only the game. Activate is a physical and mental gaming facility it usually has people lining up outside. But not come game time. >> Michael makar: its been slower, its not dead but there's we love to have fun with the definitely a decline for sure. We love to have fun with the people that come in here who are oilers fans talk to them about the game, get them excited for our games cause they're excited about the game. One is the legal plan to protect our tax plan. But more importantly, our life plan should be 80% of the planning because we are living so long. And then secondarily, if we do a good life plan, it's part of our legacy plan. We don't actually have to build it in a separate manner. For more information, visit macmillanestate.com We're ready.
