Canada's competition bureau has launched investigations into the practices, which can see lease agreements that limit how a piece of land can be used, or spell out who the land owner can lease to, and which products can be sold by other parties close to another lease holders business. Sobeys owner empire denies that property controls are anti-competitive and says they are not unique to the grocery sector. Loblaws parent company says it's cooperating with the review. 4 in 5 canadians say they really need a vacation, but only 3 in 5 say they are at least somewhat likely to take one this summer. That's according to ipsos polling exclusively for "global news" two thirds say they'll be scaling back vacation plans due to inflation. 27% say there's no way they can afford it this year, while 19% say they can easily afford one. Well, halifax police say they are investigating a weapons offense in dartmouth now after shots were fired into a parked car recently. Police say several shots were fired at the car. This was on valkyrie crescent. No injuries were reported. A man was arrested, though moments later and will appear in dartmouth provincial court at some time today. Now, police did not say when the incident occurred, but we'll have more updates on this story as they become available to us today. An aviation program in halifax has started up again for its seventh year running. Green wings is a nonprofit organization that takes children with special needs on the flight of a lifetime. Global's ella macdonald went along for a ride in the green wings aircraft. >> Dimitri neonakis is a seasoned pilot. He's been flying more than 25 years, but his favorite flights by far have been with children like 11 year old chloe paul howlett, who has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair. I'm a little choked up, to see chloe. >> She reached out to me, grabbed my hand on my elbow. That's her saying thank you. She's nonverbal. You saw her. And, that's what makes me come back. >> In june 2017, neonakis founded dream wings, a free aviation program dedicated to children with special needs. One of those kids is 12 year old mckenzie crannach. >> I want to see clouds. How his town's neighbours >> Yeah. And are you scared at all? >> No. I'm not. Not nervous. Nope. I am feeling great. >> Another dream wings passenger is 12 year old jason slocum, who lives with a rare disorder called kabuki syndrome. I don't know, neonakis says. >> Not only is dream wings a once in a lifetime experience for kids, but for some parents as well, especially those whose children need full time care for them to get a phone call and say, hey, come to the airport, let's spend a couple of hours together on the ground and in the air and do something unique. >> Is wonderful for them. They take a good break from their medical duties after coming down from the clouds. >> Crannach says her mom was scared, but she was brave enough for the both of them. >> I say mom really scared. Hold my hand. >> Now in its seventh year, dream wings has done more than 750 flights and flown over 1000 children. >> Give a child an opportunity that like this, is, is priceless to me. >> Ella macdonald, "global news, enfield prime minister justin trudeau was in truro on friday to highlight the universal coverage of various contraception and diabetes medications. >> He announced that the federal government is launching the first phase of a national pharmacare plan, with $1.5 billion in federal funding. Under that plan, medications and devices, including insulin, birth control pills and iuds will be free for canadians. The president of the nova scotia nurses union janet hazelton, says coverage for contraception and diabetes is crucial for those without a drug plan. >> We see far too many patients come to us leaving our emergency departments or leaving their family doctors or nurse practitioners with prescriptions for medications to treat their diabetes, whether it's insulin or oral medication, only to know that they are not getting that prescription filled because they can't afford it. These patients inevitably land back in the system, requiring more intensive health care like an amputation, hazelton says. >> Nurses across the country hope to see more medications covered by the federal pharmacare program. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held late last week to unveil the new name of the qe2's heart disease clinic, honoring a 16 year old hockey player who lost his life to an undiagnosed heart condition. As megan king reports, efforts to raise awareness around heart health by the boy's family over the years is creating life saving changes while keeping his memory alive. >> Family and friends joined health providers to unveil the newly named jordan boyd inherited heart disease clinic at the qe2 health sciences center. The event honored the 16 year old bedford hockey player, who lost his life to an undiagnosed inherited heart
