small chance of scattered showers. Sunday, we could only see some rain through the early, early morning hours, and then 17 and partly cloudy throughout the afternoon, and gets better as we finfinish off the month of may and temperatures in the 20's, leslie. >> That will be nice to get some heat, and right now, we'll get grey day, and a grey morning continuing, and a couple of collisions, skyview ranch, 128, and beddington, and busy roads as we try to wind down on a wednesday, and northbound deerfoot, and the headlights 17th, and peigan there, and southbound approaching peigan, and still busy southeast through the centre of the city, and northeast on deerfoot, and then a look at macleod, and we missed the crew going through, travelling northbound, and just past 25th, and stampede grounds over on the right. Wet roads this morning in this area, and we have some volume still streaming into the downtown core. If you're just heading out the door, pretty good timing, and busy routes right now. >> Blake: thank you, leslie. Checking now with jeff and carolyn from the morning show. Good morning to you both. What is coming up on the program today? >> Well, coming up today, it's actually coming up tonight on global, the seasonal finale for survivor 46. Huge night on the network. We asked some previous survivor champions, huge champs, boston rob and parvatie to go over the season and some of the highlights, and who they predict will win. >> That coming up, delving further in the deadly turbulence on singapore airline flight with our travel expert claire newell to get the very latest on that and she is going to talk about canada's wildfire season. As you well know in calgary, well underway again, and what it means for summer tourism, and blake, we will have claire about the story of a woman who refused her duties in the emergency seat. In the emergency exit row and you're asked to take on some additional responsibilities. She refused that. Refused to leave her seat. And the entire plane got deplaned. Everyone was asked to leave. >> Blake: whoa. >> Right. >> Blake: okay. Every time I'm in the emergency aisle, I feel special. Like, I want to be that guy with that added responsibility. Shame on that woman. >> And the leg room. >> And I mean, that's really the key thing. Yeah. >> I'm glad you feel that way because that is the job when you are -- >> Totally. >> Seated there. We'll talk to her about that. Plus dr. Cliff is stopping by to go over -- I think we're talking arthritis in pets and zombie raccoons. >> Blake: oh. Okay. That's a thing? >> Which could be the pitch for the latest horror movie, I don't know. >> Move over cujo. >> Blake: all right, well, an eclectic mix of stories on this morning's tms. It all gets started next at 9 o'clock. Thank you both. >> Yes. It's a varied menu this morning. Thank you, blake. >> Blake: absolutely. All right. Experts say in the past, migration to alberta was driven by the oil and gas sector, now our housing market, continued job creation and the ability to work remotely are the biggest factors. Atb doesn't expect another migration record this year but says the trend will continue. >> There are a couple things that are going to keep people coming. One is despite the fact that our affordability advantage -- housing affordability, that gap has narrowed with -- especially calgary housing prices really picking up, it's still significant, the gap. It will be enough to keep a number of people coming here. The other thing is we do expect alberta's economy to outperform the rest of the country in the next couple of years. >> Atb says there are still a number of jobs available in alberta's labor market. Like in the construction sector which will also draw people to our province. But we make an appointment. He doesn't see us all unless we have a concern. >> It's wonderful, the care. So if I had it hire a taxi or whine and snivel with my kids, it would be a heck of a nuisance. >> Reporter: the ridelle clinic started as a mobile home care clinic for seniors, servicing more than a dozen seniors facilities in calgary and edmonton. >> My average patient is 88 years old. And without home visits, most of them would not be able to see a family doctor nearly as often as they would need. >> Reporter: but doctors say that kind of service may no longer be viable. Pointing to 10% cut to the primary fee code for home visits in april of 2023. And another 10% cut this april. And more expected in the future. >> I'm sure mote people would agree if you are given 22% pay cut in your salary one year and being told there will be more cuts coming next year, you would seek employment elsewhere out of necessity. >> Half of their doctors have left or given official notice to end the clinic by the end of the summer, leaving many seniors in a challenging position to find care. >> We just want as seniors to stay healthy and live in our own residences and have that doctor care so we don't end up in long-term care at taxpayers'

expense. >> Reporter: alberta's health ministry says the gradual decreases were agreed to but the alberta medical association and that they are currently working to develop a new family physician compensation model.
