Topping the news, a ransom ware group based in russia is claiming responsibility for the cyberattack on london drugs. >> Dallas: last month, london drugs shut down all of its stores across canada, including 8 in calgary, and meghan cobb joins us, and we know the group was looking for millions of dollars. >> That's right, dallas. London drugs says it's reviewing the attack. But because of the extent of the damage to its system, that review could take quite some time. Now a cyber security threat analyst who has seen the ransom demands on the dark web says notorious ransom ware operation lockbit is threatening to release data stolen from london drugs if the company doesn't pay $25 million by thursday. Brett callow says the drug store likely wasn't a unique target. Adding ransom ware attacks are low effort, and deployed against many companies that ransom ware believes they can play. >> And lockbit is the most prolific of ransom ware attacks since 2019. They launched successful attacks against thousands of organizations. They are known to have reaped more than 100 million-dollar in ransom demands. >> Reporter: in a statement, london drugs says it's unwilling and unable to pay the ransom which callow agrees is the right move. There is no indication that customer or patient database breached. Some employee info appears to be breached. As for today, most of the rain is going to be in central and southern alberta. With temperatures slightly below what is seasonal for this time of year, and ranging between 9 and 15°. Here is a look at where the rain is right now in central alberta, to the south of calgary, and some snow to the west of calgary in the rockies. In fact, along highway 40, kananaskis trail included, that section of highway 40 could see some heavier snowfall throughout the day today. If that is where you are travelling, just be aware of that.
