Findings suggest the connection between cannabis and these types of disorders may be stronger than previously thought. Researchers feel one of the primary reasons for this is the rise in average thc potency of the cannabis found in canada. The study found that of teens who were hospitalized or visited emergency rooms for psychotic disorder, roughly five in six had previously reported cannabis use.
