He was sentenced to eight years in prison after pleading guilty to causing the crash in saskatchewan that killed 16 people and injured 13 others. His lawyer michael greene says there is no doubt the deportation order will be granted. But during today's virtual hearing, green says he will ask if he can keep his permanent resident status on he monetary and grounds. >>> Amazon will officially open its first ever robotics fulfilment centre in calgary later this morning. It comes out a time when calgary is seeing record levels of employment and surging levels of unemployment at the same time. The new 2.8 million square-foot facility located in the deep southeast will have robots helping pick, packed, and ship parcels. Amazon says this will create more than 1500 jobs. Calgary's unemployment rate in april was 7.7 percent. The business council of alberta says alberta's population growth is good for the economy, but also comes with challenges around jobs and housing. Council says this is the 11th facility in alberta and points to the province's ability to track investment. >> Creating those new jobs to employ those folks in alberta. I'm confident alberta's labour force will be able to absorb these new opportunities. Many new people are entering the labour force and looking for work.
