CHSN Will Finally Be Offering Blackhawks Games To Stream
The Chicago Blackhawks are no longer on NBC Sports Chicago. They have migrated over to Chicago Sports Network. They are in this with the Chicago Bulls and Chicago White Sox. Unfortunately, not all of the service providers (streaming and cable) have the network yet.
Xfinity (the leading cable company in the Chicagoland area) and YouTube TV (one of the largest TV streaming services in the country) don’t have the channel yet so a lot of fans don’t have access.
Unless you have one of the few services that offer the channel or set up an antenna, you have missed a lot of Blackhawks games this season on TV. That’s a problem for an Original Six franchise led by a must-see talent in Connor Bedard.
Well, some news regarding this was announced by CHSN on Thursday. They are going to launch an app on Friday, November 15th that will allow fans to purchase the streaming service of the network. The app will be available on iOS, Android, and any web browser.
For $19.99 a month, you can pick one team. For $29.99 a month, you can have access to all three teams. It will include pre and postgame coverage. That’s a hefty monthly price with all things considered. It’s a lot to ask of fans who are already paying for other streaming services for their other TV needs.

It’s nice that fans who are willing to pay the price will be able to watch their favorite hockey team again, but it’s hard to ignore all of the negatives associated with this situation.
Now, the hope is that this can all get resolved quickly so that people can get back to watching hockey the way they have been. It’s a shame that the network is at this point but it’s their reality.
