If you're just joining us for the first time this week we have been talking about summer road trips. And of course when it comes to on getting the family ready and packing them into the car we want to make sure that your car is ready. Caa is with us with pro tips of course. Good morning, hassan. Good to see you up warmer conditions. Last time we were chatting it was colder out here. >> I'm always down for the nice weather. >> Stefan: when it comes to getting the most out of your vehicle -- what do you recommend. >> The first thing is timely your battery. The reason why su need your battery to get going to start. Especially in the winter with the frigid temperatures if you're not driving your car a lot you could permanently discharm the battery. It is a good idea to get tin aspected. Make sure you're good to go for spring and summer. And also recommend that you take a look at your hoses and your belt. Also, check your fluid. This is the tranny fluid, brake fluid. Windshield washer fluid. In winter sometimes we worry getting to our destination. It's good to take the time now to make sure hoses doesn't have a leak, billing. Belts are not making weird sounds. The other thing I would recommend is being proactive. And the idea is check out your owners manual. You can get a copy online if you don't have a physical copy. Look at your regular maintenance schedule. It's always good to catch something before it becomes something. If you are unsure give us a call. We have a mechanic that can come out. Everything you mention is wonderful and great. Let's say you're not car savvy. Are these things you can check yourself with the naked eye or you should be bringing it in to someone. >> To be honest, the thing is you want to sort of look and listen. And you can do a lot of this yourself. Again, a lot of work can happen, usually happens at the eyesight level. If you adopt know anything about cars you want to look for anything that sounds wrong or looks wrong. Smoke coming from anywhere. Weird liquid. If you're unsure where you do see something you can take it to your local mechanic or call us and we will have our licensed mechanic come out and inspect it for you. >> Stefan: you also want to talk to us about tire pressure. We have all seen the movies and shows where it comes to family road trips. Looking at the map, something goes wrong. It's often a flat tire. >> The really important thing about tire pressure is that the air pressure in your tires actually is responsible for 95% of your vehicle's weight. Each just one tire being off of pressure affects your car in a significant way. Over inflated tires can oftentimes lead to reduced grip. Of decreased stability. Also, if you go over a pothole, either the tire itself with k explode or it damages your vehicle because it's super hard, can damage your vehicle components. Under inflated tires wear out tires more quickly. Reduces braking ability and because you work harder to keep the tires redating basically you're wasting more gas. A lot of teen people ask how do I know how I should know how much air to put in my tires. >> Stefan: definitely. A lot of noise how to drive but not maintain cars. We get to the -- notification, low tire pressure. >> The question I get all the time. What is a psi. The cool thing sever vehicle has a sticker sort of usually in this area and it basically tells you what your psi should be for your front and your rear tires. For some vehicles it's the same all around. For others the front should have a little less than the back but all the numbers there socks. Tell us more about the caa pit

Matthews anglican church many good morning. >> Good morning. >> Melissa: first, let's talk about the great glebe garage sale. This is the event the summer. It is the biggest I think I have ever seen. >> They are so much weather dependent. It looks like the forecast is good this year which is excellent. >> Melissa: it does. >> We have been involved sips really the begin wig is the late 80s. It's been growing and growing and growing. We have many, many items. Do you want to -- >> Melissa: yes, let's look at some of the items. The nice thing is you find unique items. >> That try. If you're looking for a gift that is unique this is definitely the please to come. >> Melissa: okay. What do we have on display here? >> We have three sections. We have a white elephant sale which is household goods and things like that. We have the book sale. So books here. This is -- I usually pack up -- buy a whole bag of books for my summer reading. We have got alice munro. A book on canoes, history of canoes in canada. Where's waldo. So the woman in charge is a librarian. She also has a jean's picks collection. >> Melissa: wonderful. >> And then on the side that I usually work on is the premium cable side and we have similar valuable item. For example this is a sidney charles mooney painting. >> Oil painting. >> He is a canadian artist that died about, I think 2011 or so. And also very important in the group of 7. This came from one of our donors who is argentinian and we are not sure if it's a llama or an alpaca. But it's a replica of a precolumbian piece of art. >> Melissa: beautiful. The nice thing I love about the garage sale, there's also an incredible component. You're raising money for the food bank. >> 10 per cent goes to the food bank. Last year we actually contributed other sales as well. About $5,000 to the food bank. It's so much in need. And that was right from the beginning of the sale that the foo bank was supposed to be a donor and I hope they are doing better every year. >> Oh, absolutely. We know the need is great. Especially this time of year and especially right now with the economy. Talk about the up flag and prices of things. So we know the need is great. What do you think it is the glebe garage sale that made it so successful? I think it is just a very exciting time for people to get together. Network. Meet each other for the first time. Everybody -- >> From the U.S. they come back year after year. >> Melissa: they do. But it is very, very fun to meet people. >> Melissa: perfect. We have more items on dismay this morning. Good morning. >> Talk about some of the items that we will also find at the glebe garage sale. There is also another charitable component we are raising funds for. >> Yes. We are doing a garage sale to raise some funds. We have a -- eastern ontario dog rescue that has medical expenses coming up. Thy we thought this is a great opportunity to raise funds for them and the food bank. >> Melissa: and we have a model. >> This is taylor swift. >> Melissa: she wants her close up. I love it. She was adopted but dogs like her from the cupcake rescue are in need of surgery coming up, and medical expenses. So you're trying to raise funds for them. >> Exactly. >> Melissa: what are some items to help the dogs in need. >> The items are donated from the glebe community. This is a -- >> Melissa: I love dog clothe so is this is adorable to me. >> So many nice things.
