Yahoo Sports Christoph Freund: ‘Fresh energy and passion’
With the short winter break now over, Bayern are preparing for the resumption of the 2024/25 campaign. Ahead of Monday’s friendly away at Red Bull Salzburg, sporting director Christoph Freund spoke about how he sees things for Vincent Kompany’s team going into the new year. “The break was a short one, but we were able to recover for a few days, which was important,” Freund said. “It’s a special time with Christmas and New Year, spending it all with family. You can switch off and think about other things. That can have a big effect. You can also see that with the guys, who have come back with fresh energy and passion. We’re now looking forward to getting going again,” the Austrian added.
