Chris Weidman is already walking on his broken leg a month after horrific injury

UFC fighter Chris Weidman continues his unbelievable recovery from a broken leg. Weidman took another major step in his recovery Saturday, posting video in which he's already walking on his surgically repaired leg.

The clip lasts just 10 seconds, but shows Weidman fully supporting himself while taking a couple steps. In the caption, Weidman thanks fans for "the love and support," explaining it has motivated him throughout his recovery.

Weidman experienced the injury while fighting Uriah Hall at UFC 261. Weidman hit Hall's shin with a kick in the opening seconds of the match. Upon impact, a bone in Weidman's leg snapped. He went down immediately. A cast was put on Weidman's leg and he was stretchered out of the ring. The fight was over in just 17 seconds.

Weidman needed surgery to repair his leg. Two days after the injury, Weidman's wife Marivi posted a picture of Weidman recovering in the hospital. Marivi said the family was overwhelmed by "the love and support" they received.

In mid May, Weidman was able to put some weight on the leg. He posted video of himself walking on an anti-gravity treadmill. He also posted images of his rehab and workouts.

It's unclear how long Weidman will need to continue rehabbing before he's back to 100 percent. If he continues to progress at this rate, Weidman might get his rematch with Hall far sooner than anyone expects.
