Exeter Chiefs scrum-half Sam Maunder has joined promotion-chasing Coventry on loan to increase his game time.

Maunder, the younger brother of Chiefs' Premiership-winning scrum-half Jack, returned to the squad earlier this season after recovering from a lengthy knee injury.

The Exeter-born 24-year-old has made more than 50 appearances for the club since his first-team debut in 2018.

Maunder will be available to make his debut for Coventry, who are second in the Championship, in their home game against Doncaster Knights on Saturday.
