The Cincinnati Bengals may not have a bulletin board in their locker room, but they got all the motivation they needed before facing the Chiefs on Sunday from a Kansas City player.

Days before Sunday’s game, Chiefs safety Justin Reid made comments about stopping Bengals tight end Hayden Hurst, and added: “Everybody still getting locked up.”

After the Bengals beat the Chiefs 27-24 on Sunday, some of the Cincinnati players made mention of Reid’s remarks.

On Tuesday morning, Reid wrote on Twitter: “Unpopular opinion: we lost… but I was still right Cry about it”

Hurst caught just two passes for 12 yards, but he also was injured in the first half.

Chiefs fans (along with Bengals supporters and others) were none-too-happy to see Reid’s comment and they responded to him. Many in Cincinnati included a clip of a missed tackle by Reid during the game.

Here’s some of what was being said about Reid, whose tweet went viral.
