Chicoutimi Adds 2026 NHL Draft Prospect Ricard From Cape Breton

The Chicoutimi Saguenéens have picked up young left winger Emile Ricard from the Cape Breton Eagles in exchange for a first round pick in 2026 and a second rounder in 2027.

Ricard, 17, has 12 points (4+8) over 31 games in his sophomore season with the Eagles.

He was the 13th overall pick by the Eagles in the 2023 QMJHL draft, and won't be eligible for the NHL draft until 2026, thanks to his late birthday.
