creature with a succubus mouth ,they're pretty nasty. They're from the atlantic ocean . So they're they're not so detrimental to the fish populations because they're fish species are often bigger where ours are much smaller size when they go to sea lamprey it often kills them. However, we do have smaller native lamprey like northern brook lamprey which we do encounter in the traps but they don't harm the fish nearly as much as the sea lamprey does. >> And how long will you guys be doing this for? So arcelia trapping programme this year is running from april twenty nine to the end of june so that's all based on water temperature and the responding season and it's only the two traps here. So we have two portable traps here on either side of the river and then we also have a permanent trap on the macintyre river right by lake tamlin the fish ladder is and why is it important for you guys to be able to do this? It's really important to protect our fisheries. Seal had a really detrimental effect in the past into the great lakes fishery commission actually started the sea lamprey control programme to get a handle on these invasive species and to protect our our native ones for the long-term. >> Stay tuned. The first full trailer for "Criminal Minds: Evolution" season 2 is now out. The first two episodes will premiere on June 6th, with 8 more to follow that will be released in weekly instalments. The biggest absence in the reboot is definitely Spencer Reid. Matthew Gray Gubler wasn't able to take part in season 1 due to a filming conflict with another project of his. I've heard mixed things on whether or not he'll return for season 2, but so far he's not officially credited for the upcoming season's first episode and "Yellowjackets" is officially in production. The first set photos have been released that tease the girls trying to live in the wilderness without their cabin. Now if you haven't watched this series yet, I highly recommend checking it out. Season 3 doesn't drop until 2025. Starwatch has been brought to you by Superior Coatings. Paint it right the first time. Paint it right the first time. Thunder bay's realty services division has identified some city owned land to put up for sale. Staff have found eight properties, most of which are arquettes that they'll recommend city council to declare surplus. The goal is to make more land available to construct much needed homes in the city. >> We're here because on friday and last week realty services provided public notice to various neighbourhoods that we are bringing eight properties

online for consideration by council to be surplus to support housing needs and funderbirk we wanted to provide the community information that we will be inviting their feedback which is on the site as well as on the letters provided to neighbourhood residents and that we acknowledge that several of these properties were identified as parkland properties and we wanted to let everyone know that it isn't the intent that all proceeds net proceeds of those sales would be directed towards parkland supports so will leave any that fund be connected to the accelerator fund for affordable housing? The proceeds of sale went towards parkland properties that is separate and apart from the housing accelerator funds. >> Is there are you expecting any backlash? I mean these are green spaces that are in existing neighbourhoods here. Are we expecting any backlash from neighbours who maybe using these properties for for leisure activities? >> So we certainly appreciate that there are impacts to this exercise. We do invite feedback in the community. Let us know what they think, what they feel about that that was included and how to do that was included in the information that was sent out to the neighbourhoods and we have identified these properties as being already on service and they exist in these neighbourhoods. They're infill sites to support housing. So while we acknowledge that there are certainly impacts, we are we are doing this for a purpose. >> And I wanted to ask I mean, you know, obviously yes, this is indiepop property. I mean it is part of the strategy here to to use existing lands within, you know ,neighbourhoods with infrastructure already in place as opposed to building new developments. >> Absolutely. So the that was one of the top criteria we considered when we went away and looked at properties more directed by council to do so last year was what could be done already on existing servicing what would fit into existing neighbourhoods and you know, keep everything on nima basis. >> This just the start of a larger plan here to do more of this and sort of what is the long-term goal here. >> So even last year we brought a list of 40 properties to council for their consideration following their direction to take a look at all city plans including vacant lands, parkland and parking. We brought the first batch earlier this year. This is the second batch of properties we will continue to bring batches forward on a regular basis for council's consideration, declare surplus and then go towards marketing for sale should they be declared surplus by council. The real commercial endeavours be considered for these properties. >> These properties are being surplus for a purpose and that purpose is to support housing thunder they will be only disposed of for that purpose. Can you tell me where these properties are located? Yes I can so I don't have my list with me but I believe that stacy did provide a list earlier today. Yes. Ok, perfect. Thank there throughout the city and for people who are less familiar can you go over like what this process looks like and what surplus lands actually mean? >> Absolutely. So I know that that is a foreign turn to a lot of people. So it is a process by which we identify lands that might be no longer needed or in this case could be used for utilisers or something else. We then go through a process of assessing those lands we prepare a report to council. In this case we provided public notice ahead of which is what we're we're doing here provide public notice, gather feedback from the community which ultimately then goes into a report along with our recommendations to council any feedback required or any feedback required here? We'll going to report to council this report is going on june 3rd with scheduled ratification for june 24th. Should councillorvo surplus these properties like I said councillorvo sorry my voice is cutting out council feedback is simply community feedback will be provided to council here. There'll also be another notice provided following the consideration by council on june 3rd. >> Any true crime mystery or puzzle enthusiast won't want to miss out on the cambridge playersthe news production the ultimate game of cat and mouse sleuth will keep audiences guessing until the very end their production runs this week from today to saturday and next week from may. Twenty nine to june 1st with curtains rising at seven thirty each evening the group has been working on the production for around six weeks and director stephanie silin says there's lots for audiences to look forward to. >> Just tell us a little bit about this production that will be going on scheer. So sleuth is a tony award winning script that was written and produced in nineteen seventy two. We're bringing it to the stage

here in thunder bay. >> It's a thriller and a little bit of a murder mystery. >> We've got a mainly a two hander so two people in the cast and a couple of special guests the premise is a very wealthy mystery writer who is a big fan of games and games playing invites his young rival over to his manor home for the weekend to confront him about the affair that he's having with his wife and a game ensues for the prise which would be the woman and it escalates and gets extremely out of hand and many shenanigans ensue. >> And how long have you guys been working? >> This has been a pretty short production I believe we've had about six weeks to put this together and our crew and our actors have done an extremely good and how exciting is it to finally be able to show people what you guysome working on? >> Oh, it's an incredible I'm very, very, very excited for people to see this. We've put in a ton of amazing work and we've got a lot to show everyone. >> Is there a specific part of the structure that you're excited for audiences to see? Well, the fabulous acting by our two leads andrea jacobson and rob pollari is amazing. They do an incredible job with the script but also the the set and the props that we have. We have some practical effects as well, some faulty work backstage that our stage crew has been practising non-stop and I think it's going to really impress audiences and how many actors all together are taking part. >> We have five altogether our main two and then three special guests that you'll see and where can people get their tickets? >> They can get them online at eventbrite. Just search for cambium players or sleuth as well at the door. >> So just one question about the script. You said it was written back in nineteen seventy two. Did you guys neys 1960s did you guys make any adjustments to the script or is it kind of like just as it was it's mainly how it was we have made some cuts. It was a different time back in nineteen seventy two so you know we don't necessarily agree with everything but everything that is relevant to the character development and plot development has remained and then we've cut out some of the not so appropriate jokes that don't lend itself to anything. >> Thanks for joining us for today's edition of word for word.
