notes. >> Ross: it's monday, may 27th. Here's your "global news" entertainment wrap: >> Police officers told me we have to offload all the luggage. >> Okay. >> And to search everything. >> Okay. With your luggage. >> Ross: nicki minaj's fans in manchester faced disappointment as the rapper's concert was pose postponed. The artist defeating that she was detained at the amsterdam airport before boarding a plane after dutch police reportedly found marijuana in her bags. The netherlands' military police confirmed the arrest of a 4-year-old american woman for the possession of soft drugs, who was later fined before being released. Minaj says she believes police just wanted to make her late for her concert. [ ] [ Singing ] are you all alone >> Ross: concert-goers faced another set back this weekend as the black keys quietly canceled the north american leg of their international tour. The tour, which was announced in early april, was set to begin in september with 31 scheduled dates across north america, including a performance in toronto. In a statement released sunday night, the band assured fans that we are alive and well but are making changes to the north american leg of the tour. The band also promising full refunds for those who have purchased tickets for the initial dates. [ ] >> Furiosa... Give me this promise. >> Ross: well, movie theaters are facing a challenging season with lackluster performance at the box office. Both "furiosa" a "mad max" gag gag and the garfield movie failed to attract audiences over the weekend, resulting in one if any the lowest box office earnings over the memorial day weekend in the U.S. in two decades. The "mad max" presell earned an estimated 25.6 million. Meanwhile, the garfield movie, an animated family-friendly film starring chris pratt as the lasagna-loving cat raked in an estimated 31.9 million. >> Candace: well, a lot of fans in -- I think it was manchester, was nicki minaj was going to be performing. A lot of fans really upset. They had taken the day off. They were all in their barb gear. They were all in their pink: this was so disappointing for me, not the least of which nikki anyonage. I hope it gets resolved and her name is cleared, and we can see the rest of this tour. >> Ross: I think there are still some aspect of that story that need to be told. >> Candace: yapp. >> Ross: well, one woman in europe has quite the story after a walk over the weekend when she stumbled across buried treasure. >> Candace: that's right. She found more than 2,000 coins in the czech republic. And archaeologist say those coins were minted between the years of 1085 and 110 1107. So quite medieval, to say the least. They also believe the coins were hidden during a time of political unrest in that country, and their value is pretty much priceless during that period. The equivalent of winning a million dollar jackpot today. So cool. >> Ross: yeah, that is really interesting, and I think what is most interesting to me about these situation is you often see people with metal detectors at the beaches. They're trying to find all of this stuff, and it seems to know from this woman, she was just on a regular walked when it was discovered. I think it was in a container, and that container kind of, you know, got -- eroded over the years. >> Candace: glinted? >> Ross: I guess the bottom of it was exposed, eventually. There you go. I don't know go it's necessarily worth a lot of money today, but certainly the archaeological value of it is pretty impressive. >> Candace: absolutely, and it would teach us so much from those times, and maybe one day -- sometimes I just want to find a toonie, you know? That would be great. >> Ross: that would be fun. >> Candace: or a dime. I feel so lucky when I just find a dime, but anyhow... >> Ross: we'll see. We'll start to get that discovery energy going, and a beautiful shot to show you discovering a couple of dogs here this morning. Lucky at ball son lake camping over the weekend, and looking pretty comfortable, I'd say. >> Candace: lucky and diego. So sweet. Balsam lake... This is out east, if I'm correct. >> Ross: yes, east of lake simcoe, I believe, around the kawarthas. >> Candace: that, that's what I was thinking. >> Ross: a beautiful spot in our province. >> Candace: I've only heard good things, yeah. >> Ross: if you happen to be out there today, there's the potential for some showers and some thunderstorms really across southern ontario. Be prepared for that. Could be some heavy downpours, but the warm and humid air mass, feeling closer to 30, despite temperatures being around 22,
