We'll focus on which areas have potential for wet weather. Speaking of wet weather, unsettled conditions, well, certainly the west, under a trough, this is the upper level pattern, when you see the jet stream drop to the south, it supports unsettled weather, cool air aloft, still potential for some showers, south coast, lower mainland of B.C. heavy rain with a disturbance over southern manitoba, where totals could reach 60 or so millimetres heading into saturday. Even more than that. Locally. And we've gotten into cooler conditions across the east. After a really humid week. A couple cold fronts had pushed through. There were some thunderstorms overnight around halifax, but the hrm should stay dry today, scattered showers and thunderstorms around new brunswick. Montreal, southern ontario should stay dry today. Keeping an eye on this disturbance. It will slide through. We have a chance of wet weather and you can see that pushing in, a shower, thunderstorm, late morning into the afternoon, places like toronto and montreal could see an evening shower. Around much of the maritimes, it's going to stay dry this weekend, there will be cloud cover at times, a few scattered showers, a cooler day sunday. Overall, pretty quiet. Heading into early next week, we see a pattern change. There are unsettled weather. We need it. We have seen below average rainfall amounts so far this month. So above average rainfall amounts, certainly with this system pushing into southern manitoba, you can see lightning associated with that in the u.s., but heavy rain, and then some showers still visible here on our satellite radar, at least on the radar across saskatchewan, into alberta, and portions of the south coast and vancouver island. Rainfall warning in place for southern manitoba. That rainfall will likely continue into saturday. Even some snow in western flank of that higher terrain over west central portions of manitoba. It's cool and unsettled at times. Not raining every minute of every hour around calgary and vufr. But we're looking at potential for wet weather. And cooler than average
