Chelsea youngster Michael Golding is set to join Premier League new boys Leicester City for £5m according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Blues have agreed a deal with the Foxes to sign midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall for a reported £30m, and the 25-year-old is believed to have completed the first part of his medical.

As part of the deal, but in a separate transaction it appears Golding will be making the move to the King Power Stadium.

The 18-year-old is regarded as one of the brightest talents in the Chelsea academy, and made his debut against Preston in the FA Cup last season.

Golding made 22 appearances in the under-18 Premier League last season, scoring six goals and providing two assists, whilst he made five appearances and scored once as Chelsea made the quarter finals of the FA Youth Cup.

The midfielder’s time at Stamford Bridge is set to end and Romano has reported he will be joining Leicester for a fee of £5m.

He took to X.com and said:

“Understand Leicester City will sign Michael Golding from Chelsea for value of £5m. 2006 born talent will leave Chelsea to join #LCFC in separate deal after Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall move being completed for £30m fee.

The Athletic have reported that unlike with Chelsea’s deal with Ipswich for Omari Hutchinson there won’t be a sell on clause or matching rights on any future transfer.

Golding won’t be the only name to leave the club this summer, and the Blues are looking to move on a number of players in the window.
