Chelsea XI vs Servette – Predicted lineup and team news
Chelsea return to European action on Thursday night as the Blues take on Servette in the second leg of their Europa Conference League play-off.
Enzo Maresca’s side hold a 2-0 advantage from the first leg in West London a week ago, ahead of the return clash in Switzerland this evening. Optimism has increased around the Blues following a big win in the Premier League at the weekend, as Maresca’s team target a third consecutive win in all competitions.
Despite the ongoing activity off the pitch, Maresca’s focus will be on turning his expensively assembled squad into a successful outfit. Chelsea enter this season’s Europa Conference League as favourites for the trophy as the West Londoners look to become the first team to have completed the current European set of silverware.
Chelsea XI vs Servette – Predicted lineup and team news
Chelsea team news
Maresca made nine changes to his team for the first encounter and is expected to rotate his large squad once again. Reece James remains out with a hamstring injury, while Malo Gusto will not be involved, which could lead to a start at right-back for Axel Disasi.
Pedro Neto is another who is not included in the squad, while fellow summer signing Joao Felix was not registered in time for the tie. The Portugal internationals combined for Chelsea’s sixth goal during the impressive 6-2 win at Wolves at the weekend.
Midfield pair Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia are doubts for the clash with Servette having sustained knocks during that win at Wolves. Chelsea will want to take a cautious approach with Lavia in particular, following his injury-hit spell at Stamford Bridge so far.

Christopher Nkunku could return to the side after being dropped for the win at Wolves, while there could be further opportunities for summer recruits Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Tosin Adarabioyo, Renato Veiga and Marc Guiu.
The latter will be keen to make amends for a glaring miss against Servette at Stamford Bridge last week. Filip Jorgensen should start in goal after Maresca confirmed the 22-year-old is likely to be Chelsea’s cup and European goalkeeper for the 2024/25 campaign.
Chelsea XI vs Servette Predicted Lineup
Predicted Chelsea XI (4-2-3-1): Jorgensen; Disasi, Tosin, Badiashile, Veiga; Fernandez, Dewsbury-Hall; Madueke, Nkunku, Mudryk; Guiu.
