Chelsea will be desperate to get back to winning ways after back-to-back defeats severely derailed their Premier League title defence.
Manchester City and Crystal Palace bettered the champions in recent weeks and they now face a fourth-placed Watford team fresh from beating Arsenal.
It may only be October but another defeat - matching three on the which led to Jose Mourinho's sacking two years ago - could see the Blues already 12 points adrift of pace-setters Manchester City.

Chelsea host Watford at Stamford Bridge with kick-off scheduled for 12.30pm on Saturday, October 21.

Team news
Antonio Conte have fresh fitness concerns over David Luiz and Tiemoue Bakayoko after Wednesday's Champions League exploits.
Luiz, playing as a holding midfielder with N'Golo Kante already sidelined, was withdrawn early against Roma as a precaution before Bakayoko complained of pain in his groin.
Victor Moses remains out, so Davide Zappacosta will likely come in, and Danny Drinkwater is still not ready for his debut.
Watford are juggling a long injury list but only Issas Success's knee injury is Marco Silva's freshest concerns.
