Yahoo Sports Chelsea target Mathys Tel wants to leave Bayern
According to a report from Fabrizio Romano, Mathys Tel (19) has decided to leave Bayern Munich during the ongoing transfer window. The Frenchman has had limited minutes this season under head coach Vincent Kompany having only played thirteen games across all competitions.
It is a situation that Chelsea have looked to take advantage of. The forward has been a clear target for the London club this winter as they look to bolster their attack for the second half of the campaign. Chelsea are in the middle of a tight Champions League race and currently sit sixth in the table (only a point behind Manchester City and Newcastle United).
However, Chelsea are not the only club interested in securing Tel this winter. Romano writes that while the Premier League side have been in the hunt since the beginning of the month there are other teams who are keen to enter the race.
