Chelsea receive double injury boost ahead of Man City clash
Enzo Maresca has confirmed that Levi Colwill and Enzo Fernandez could be fit to return for Chelsea’s trip to Manchester City.
Colwill and Fernandez both missed the 3-1 win over Wolves on Monday night but have recovered well this week.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Maresca said the duo are in contention for the trip to the Etihad. However, Romeo Lavia will not feature against his former side.

“Probably Levi [Colwill] and Enzo [Fernandez] could be ready [to face Man City], it depends on today’s session.
“Romeo [Lavia] will be out for Saturday. We don’t know yet [the severity of the injury]. We need to wait a little bit more, but at least a few weeks more [he will be out].”
Chelsea are fourth in the Premier League table, two points above Saturday’s opponents ahead of a huge clash in the top-four race.
Maresca eased concerns over Cole Palmer’s fitness with the 22-year-old having been nursing an ankle issue.
“He’s better. He did an unbelievable effort to play against Wolves and he’s getting better.”
The Chelsea boss also discussed the prospect of additions before the closure of the January transfer window. Chelsea have been heavily linked with Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho but Maresca insisted he is happy with the options already at his disposal.
“No, no. I’m happy with the ones we have in this moment.
“We’ve said many times on the right side, it’s Pedro [Neto] and Noni [Madueke] and left side is Jadon [Sancho]. Misha [Mudryk] was with us and is now not with us. I think Tyrique [George] is a young profile that can help us so at this moment, we are okay.”
