Chelsea are planning to use one of their new teenage signings in and around the first team squad this summer, according to one report this afternoon at least.

The Blues have announced quite a few new signings already this summer, but not all of them seem to be for the here and now, picking up many young prospects as they tend to do.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea now keen on signing versatile Bayern Munich attacker this summer! 👀

But this particular new teenage signing, sounds like he could be handed a spot in Enzo Maresca’s first team this coming season, although you’d be forgiven if you are feeling very sceptical by that claim.

Football London’s Bobby Vincent has just put out a report, as seen further below, and it sounds like new striker Marc Guiu, who was announced as a new signing from Barcelona officially by Chelsea yesterday, is in the first team plans this season.

Guiu to get a shot

The 18-year-old who came fresh out of La Masia youth academy in Barcelona, is set to get a shot for Chelsea this season.

I am sure Chelsea would like to do that, but I personally think it will all depend on whether they go ahead of push to sign another new striker as well or not, which is what we expect them to do.

If they sign a new striker, as well as Nicolas Jackson, then surely that makes Guiu third choice? I absolutely hate to see an 18-year-old spend the season on the bench just wasting key development opportunities. Let’s see what happens I guess, if another striker doesn’t come in then Guiu will get plenty of chances this season.

However, Chelsea absolutely MUST focus on bringing in an established striker right now, because they really do need one in my opinion. We can’t just rely on potential, we need more for the here and now.
