Chelsea are reportedly now looking to sign a new 25-year-old midfielder who cost his club €20 million recently. per a report this week.

We are approaching silly season again next month as the winter transfer window opens up for clubs to do any mid-season business.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea already agree terms for player to sign in the summer!

Chelsea are not expected to be busy really, but there will be some opportunities perhaps for some player sales and as you will know, quite often with player sales a club will look to replace them. Enzo Maresca has even publicly admitted that a few of his players could leave next month and the club will not want to keep any players who are unhappy with their game time, whether they go out on loan or on a permanent move.

We will have to wait and see how much business Chelsea will do next month, but I believe that any big deals will wait until the summer, at least in terms of new arrivals.

Chelsea keen on Fofana?

As cited by Caught Offside today, Chelsea are interested in signing the French midfielder Youssouf Fofana from AC Milan.

Fofana has been a key player for Milan since joining them for a fee of around €20 million last summer. His performances have attracted the attention of the Blues. According to Fichajes, Chelsea have set their sights on the French midfielder and they are willing to pay €60 million (£50m) in order to get the deal done.

Unless there are any long-term fitness concerns over Romeo Lavia, I cannot see there being anything much in this and as we know, the source is not the best unfortunately.

The Blues have a number of players who can play in this position, and they also have Andrey Santos out on loan who is doing fantastically well this season – he is expected back in the summer too.
