Chelsea must pursue move for unwanted Man United youngster

Chelsea are reportedly on the prowl for new additions in the January transfer window.

The Blues are considering offensive players as they look to bolster their forward line, even though most fans would rather they bring a top-class defender.

However, Chelsea don’t need midfield additions and will be better served signing United forward Alejandro Garnacho, who is also on the chopping block at Old Trafford.

Chelsea have many playmakers on the flanks, such as Mykhailo Mudryk, Noni Madueke, Jadon Sancho, and Pedro Neto, but they need someone who can score goals and Garnacho fits the bill.

The 20-year-old has been criticised for his poor decision-making in the final third, and rightly so. However, it is worth remembering that he still has years of development ahead of him.

He was thrown into the first team due to Marcus Rashford’s poor showings and should be behind a more experienced forward in the pecking order.

Signing Garnacho would be a statement of intent, not just for the immediate future but for the long term.

While the Argentine international still has room for growth, his knack for scoring goals is precisely what the Blues need to address their attacking woes.

With a strong foundation of creative talent already in place, adding Garnacho could bring the balance Chelsea have been missing in their forward line.

His youthful exuberance, the guidance of seasoned players, and a stable system could unlock his true potential. Chelsea must prioritise a move for Garnacho in January.
