A number of Europe’s top clubs are keeping tabs on Chelsea goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic according to Football Insider.

Petrovic arrived at Chelsea in the summer of 2023 from MLS side New England Revolution in a deal worth £14m, and put in a series of impressive performances last season.

The Serb had to wait until December 2023 to make his debut for the Blues, with Robert Sanchez ruled out through injury, but he kept his place in the side even when the Spaniard returned to fitness.

The goalkeeping situation is an issue at Chelsea, and given how many the Blues have signed over the last few windows, it doesn’t makes sense how they still lack a top class keeper, with Sanchez booed by supporters in the defeat against Manchester City on Saturday night.

Despite impressing last season, Petrovic was sent on loan to Strasbourg for this campaign, whilst Chelsea took the decision to make Sanchez the number one and sign Filip Jorgensen from Villarreal.

Petrovic has impressed on loan in France and Strasbourg manager Liam Rosenior labelled him as world class following their win against Lille last weekend.

There are many fans who still believe Petrovic is the best goalkeeper on Chelsea’s books, and Football Insider has provided an update on his future.

As reported on X.com they said:

“EXCLUSIVE: A host of Europe’s top clubs are keeping tabs on Chelsea goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic following his impressive form on loan at Strasbourg, sources have told Football Insider.

“Petrovic has excelled for Strasbourg since joining Chelsea’s sister club on loan just before the close of the summer transfer deadline.
