Torino officials have travelled to London to meet Chelsea in order to complete the signing of Cesare Casadei according to reports.

The Blues were expected to be quiet this month, although it now looks like one or two new faces could come through the door at Stamford Bridge.

Trevoh Chalobah has been recalled from Crystal Palace after injuries to Benoit Badiashile and Wesley Fofana, whilst the Blues have been linked with Mathys Tel, Liam Delap and Alejandro Garnacho as they explore attacking reinforcements.

As well as potential incomings the Blues have a number of players they are looking to move on this month, with Casadei falling into that category.

The 21-year-old arrived in the summer of 2022 from Inter Milan for an initial fee of £12.6m with a further £4.2m due in add ons.

Opportunities have been few and far between for Casadei and he’s had spells on loan at both Reading and Leicester in the Championship.

Casadei was expected to leave in the summer, but remained at the club and revealed it was his decision to do so.

The former Inter man has yet to feature in the Premier League this season, although he’s made five appearances in the Conference League.

It now seems Casadei is set for a January departure, despite previously saying he wasn’t thinking about a mid-season exit.

He’s been linked with a move to Napoli, although it now appears Torino are the favourites and working hard to complete a deal.

Di Marzio have reported officials from the Serie A Side are in London to meet with Chelsea, whilst an offer of €9m plus bonuses and a sell on clause of 40% has been made.

The report adds Casadei is keen to the move and all that remains is for an agreement to be reached between the two clubs.

Casadei’s move to Stamford Bridge hasn’t worked out, but if the Blues can do a deal with a significant sell on clause then they will be in for a nice cash windfall down the line.
