Yahoo Sports Chelsea approach Marseille target Filip Jörgensen
According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea FC have made an approach for Villarreal’s Filip Jörgensen (22). The talks are thought to have begun with the player who is said to be keen on a move to the Premier League side. However, discussions remain at an early stage with Chelsea also looking at three other players.
Jörgensen has been a target for Olympique de Marseille in their long search for a goalkeeper to replace the outgoing Pau López (29). López has agreed on a move to Como 1907 but Marseille are unwilling to finalise the departure until they have his replacement lined up.
Jörgensen was also reported to be interested in Marseille, but Villarreal’s asking price of €20 million has caused a deadlock with neither club willing to meet their counterpart’s demand. La Provence had previously reported that conversations were still ongoing over the matter. However, with Chelsea once again in the mix, this could prove an impediment to Marseille’s chances of landing the Danish U21.
