Chelsea youngster Leo Castledine has been made available for loan as the club look to further his development according to journalist Nizaar Kinsella.

The Blues are expected to loan out a number of youngsters this summer, and they have also sanctioned the sale of Omari Hutchinson, whilst Michael Golding is expected to join Leicester City for £5m as part of the deal for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

The 18-year-old hasn’t yet been loaned out during his time at Chelsea and has been at the club since he joined the youth set up from Wimbledon Youth in 2020.

Castledine made his debut under Mauricio Pochettino last season and the midfielder is regarded as one of the best players in his age group at Stamford Bridge.

The teenager shone in the Premier League 2 last season as he scored ten goals and provided nine assists in 18 matches, which saw him nominated for the Player of the Season award.

Kinsella has reported that Chelsea have made the England under-19 international available for loan and are hoping to complete a deal with a lower end Championship club or one of the top teams in League One.

Castledine is unlikely to be the only Chelsea youngster going out on loan, with Lesley Ugochukwu expected to leave along with the likes of winger Angelo Gabriel and possibly Andrey Santos.
