A 'Cheeky' Goal: Tyson Jost Scores First As Hurricane

They don't ask you how...

In his first game as a Carolina Hurricane, Tyson Jost was also credited with his first goal with the team too.

I say credited because he didn't necessarily 'score' his goal, at least not in the traditional sense.

Instead, Jost ended up having his rear end utilized as a convenient bumper.

Off a faceoff win, the puck cycled back to defenseman Jaccob Slavin who let the puck fly where it struck Jost in the rear as he was hustling to get to the front of the net.

The deflection ended up past Vegas Golden Knight goaltender Adin Hill and there Jost was with the goal.

The 26-year-old forward signed a one-year deal with the Canes this summer, but didn't make the team to start.

Instead, he began the year with the Chicago Wolves of the AHL.

But with Seth Jarvis dealing with an upper-body injury, Jost got the recall and was in the lineup tonight and as fate would have it, he got on the score sheet too.
