Shadow Creek Golf Course in North Las Vegas will be the site of The Showdown, which pits PGA Tour players Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler against LIV golfers Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka on Dec. 17.
Shadow Creek is operated by MGM Resorts International and was opened in 1990 on a former patch of flat desert that was reshaped into what can only be described as an oasis. The Tom Fazio-designed layout ranks as the No. 1 public-access courses in Nevada and is No. 13 on the Golfweek’s Best ranking of all modern courses in the U.S.
Unless you’re a top-tier celebrity or a very high roller, Shadow Creek can be a tough tee time to obtain. Hopeful players must stay at an MGM resort in Las Vegas, from where they will be whisked to the golf course in a limousine. The green fee has been reported to be $1,250, and tee times are extremely limited.
