At the start of this month - there were four basins with less 50 per cent of a normal snow pack. They were upper fraser west - lower pson - skagit - and vancouver island. The b-c snowpack sat at 66 per cent of normal levels at last update. The report raised concerns forng and drought this summer. "eight months" after the "bush creek east wildfire" caused an estimated "240-milliollars" in insured damage -- the rebuilding process in the north shuswap is underway. The regional district has now issued building permits for "12" projects -- with another "ten" in progress -- includingght" for single-family homes. More than "270" structures were destroyed in that fire. There new developments in cyberattacks targeting b-c data. The ransomware group - targeting london drugs - has removed its demand - hours before today's deadline. But - the retailer has been not the the only high-profi target. to eliminate an invasive species of deer it says is decimating the island's foliage. The taxpayers federation says documents obtained through an access to information request parks canada expects to spend 12 million dollars on the cull. Phase one of the project - which involved snipers shooting deer from helicopters - costparks canada 800-thousand dollars to kill 84 deer - putting the cost of each deer atnearly ten thousand dollars. A new poll finds most canadians support the federal government's pushbring public employees back into the office. Angus reid found that 59 per cent support federal workers spending more time in-office, whereas 28 per cent oppose it. The loan is coming from federal crown corporation 'canada infrastructure bank'. In a statement, it says terminal upgrades will be done by 2027, and the ferries will be used on small-volume and shorter routes.
