The bc wildfire service says the weather in text few days could be a challenge in northeastern parts of the province.>> Speaker: the concern for the next couple of days is for the developing in the area. >> Jennifer: 250 thousandurning in the bc peace. Th fire and the parker lake fires burning near fort saint john. 130 firefighters, 11 pieces of heavy equipment, and 19 helicopters are battling the blaze. Officials said last week they were very close to ending an evacuation order for the community. Meantime, a wire burning near spences bridge is now classified as being held. The fire on drinkwaterd was discovered on friday, and is now 51 hectares in size. It's burning approximately 5 kilometres north of the community anshort distance from highway 1. Efforts to fight it on saturday saw three initial attack crews with two helicopters and a plane. No structures have been threated by the blaze. Police determined a suv had u-turned in front of a truck causing significant damage to both vehicles. The driver and passenger of the suv fled the scene, police located them in a nearby forest with the help of a police dog. The two men are facing multiple charges including breaching a release order, driving while prohibited, uttering threats and structing a police officer. Surrey rcmp are asking for help finding two armed men who walked into a business and aldly threatened staff.
