Good morning, I'm jennifer palma thanks for joining us. One person has been taken to hospital this evening after a serious crash in surrey. The collision happened saturday night after 7, near 72nd avenue and 194-a street. A motorcycle and mini-van were involved, with major damage to the van's trunk. The glass pane of a nearby bus stop was also shattered. Police say the motorcycle driver was transported to hospital, no word on their condition. An investigation is underway into the cause of the crash. The transportation safety board confirms it is investigating a fatal plane crash in the squamish area. E plane went down friday during inclement weather in a remote area near squamish. Police say they got an automatic notification from a smart phone. Plane went down in rugged terrain across from porteau cove. Access is difficult, and police say they're not able to confirm details about the crash. A source tells global news two people were on board. The tsb says it is coordinating with squamish rcmp and the coroner.surrey rcmp are asking for help finding two armed men who walked into a business and allegedly threatened staff. The dangerous situation developed around 5:30 friday rnoon in the 92 hundred block of 120th street. Police walked into an immigration consultant's office with what appeared to be firearms, one was awhile the other appeared to be carrying an ak 47 weapon. The aring masks, and stole a phone as they left the office. Police say the men fled in w appears to be a dodge charger. Police are canvassing the area for cctv footage and witnesses. Grace ke spoke to one woman whose mother was left in pain after breaking her hip and having her surgery repeatedly delayed. >> Grace: beverlie rolin is recovering after surgery from a broken hip but this was only after her surger was cancelled twice at peace arch hospital. >> Hillary: they told her it was sterilizing process is why there was no surgery. She was taken down to the surgery. The doctors were all t, everything was all ready exceptthe operating room was not ready. >> Grace: beverlie has a long history with peach arch. She started out as kitchen staff, during retirement. At 90 years old, waiting for surgers challenging. >> Hillary: she wasn't able to move because she broke hip so she was in the same position for 4 days. It hurt, it was painful. >> Grace: the executive director for peace deeply regrets the delay and impact, adding the department where medical instruments used in surgery are cleaned and sterilized experience an unexpectedtechnical issue. Ennifer: bc's forestry practices are coming under international scrutiny after a documentary shed light on wood pellets being a key source for power overseas. Drax, one of the uk's biggest power stations, runs off of wood pellets, most of them sourced from its plants in the bc interior. Documentarians from the bbc discovered dozens of emissions violations at those plants.
