The world economic forum's index lists canada as the 11th best nation. And as visitors consider wildfires particularly out westinesses have still not seen figures return to previous peaks. >> Speaker: we saw in 2023t visitation to the province was about six percent shy of where it was in 2019, pre-pandemic levels. >> Kyle: ambassatours runs in the maritime provinces and says up around 12 per cent. But with forecasters projecting four to seve this season and last summermpact nova scotia customers and operators may need to consider options with flexibility. >> Speaker: it's part of the fall out from smoke being in the area. What we tend to find though is we try and reschedulople to a different day hopefully if the smoke clears. >> Kyle: kyle benning, global news. >> Jennifer: and let's check in, check out I should say. What are we checking, checking in with you. >> Steph: were checking out cocoa or coconut fromornell she found a daisy, so we are going to find a little ray of sunshine later today soain rain, go at least for today, at is what the motto is for today. 15 degrees is much cooler than it should be, should be around that 19-degree mark, so the next stretch of days we have wet weather. But as you can see through the central interior, cariboo region, west kootenay region with can see quite a bit of rain actually in the that system, that really slides in on the coast, the whole coast is going to be seen gusty winds were the waterways, heavy rain, so get ready for those umbrellas foryour day tomorrow, it is going to be a very wet one tomorrow, and that does continue lingering showers and system comingn tuesday, wins out of the southwest coming for at risk of thunderstorms or that the cpes and otherwise dry and closer to seasonal and that region, t north coast rain tonight but showers begng to this

morning and gusting 40 kilometres an h 5 to 10 millimetres for the cariboo central inte today and winds out of the south, and then w in a see sunshine in the mix tomorrow bush chance of showers before we get into your mix of sun and clouds slowly climbing back to the seasonal high of 21 degrees, thompson okanagan not too bad chance of showers at 40 percent, 30 percent for your chance to more on a rest for the evening as well. Was there we have srs today, sunday and monday a little bit soggy w the showers, and for us it is rizzo for vancouver island, ranger to by tomorrow afternoon, same for around the entire south coast will be showers in through the late afternoon evening, afternoon calm after a minute wewill solicit to the ring pickup and it will be a wet one tomorrow. System sunday, system tuesday cking a punch and cooler temperatures on deck, back to you. >> Jennifer: t you so much. >> Yvonne: miche you have some varieties from plants that will work well what are some varieties thou can recommend. >> Speaker: shady characters we have here with us today so e's a lot of great variety of plants that will do well in full shade or partial shade. One of my favourite is a beaul long plume on it, so those are great for the shade, has a really large leaf of colours and textures and there, another great variety is the begonias usually sold as an indoor plant and tdo really well in the shade, outside and ur patio, and a container, I have done this one up in a beautiful sea glass pot and it's very monochromatic, beautiful. They are also a very great seion for shades. This is a really nice variety and it is really small, does not get big 6 inches in height, and you just have to watch can't plant many because of dear, love them nice leafy, and another great grass for the shade is this japanese forest cross, really nice leaves on it, and bright yellow, so you can do a lot of colour still in your rden with all of the foliage, ferns wan my favourites. It's right here with the ostrich ferns, beautiful colour, feathery leaves, the main hair is also another lovely variety so many choices than't name them all, but going up plant afew of them up in our container. >> Yvonne: perfect, where do we start? >> Speaker: first we want to do is get some planter box mix and there are fertilizer in there and we are going to get started with one of my favourites again. There ar many different varieties and this one is coffee bean, it has a beautiful rust colour, and look at the flowers. So we are just going to plantthis in the back right there and just kind of move the soil in and around it. The next one we are going to do, this is a vermillion. Sois sold as an indoor tropical plant thell do well in a shady container for the summer. They bloom usually last a couple of months and plant this one in the background. Vonne: beautiful colour. >> Speaker: it's gorgeous, that orange.just to keep with the orange theme, I have this beautifulautumn fern. The edge of its leaves areust a little bit in that rust colour, so must little too much soil in the front so that is great. So these are in the front so that is coming in so many dient varieties with their leaves, look at tone with almost a burgundy and chartreuse maybe be that one in the front two. >> Yvonne: this looks great michelle and we also have little seeds on it. >> Speaker: and just to raise it up and protect your this in your shade garden. >> Speaker: thanks, yvo >> Jenr: that is great coming up, game show bloopers.
