Officials have deemed it safe for fort nelson's residents to home, but the parker lake wire burning just a few kilometres west of the town still remains out of control. It has been reported that the 123-squarekilometre fire destroyed four homes and caused damaged sioperties in the area. The bc wildfire service says dry conditions and lightning will pose challenges for crews fighting fires over the next few days.
