Haven't. >> A 40 year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of a 15 year-old near saint albert ctv has identified the victim as broden. Radomski police say on tuesday they found the injured teen in the area, one 37th avenue and one 84 street. He died before he could be taken to hospital. Police say keith james landry was arrested a short time later. Police say he knew the victim. His best friend says radomski was walking his dog with his mom when he was stabbed. >> I can believe I would never see him again knowing he's been there by my side, my entire how I'm not able to grow up with him and his brother on that have to be there for him. It just broke me, everybody in my family. >> An autopsy has been scheduled for tomorrow. Police say the homicide of 34 year-old man last week appears to be random. Clinton clint all was found injured on the sidewalk at 1, oh second street and kingsway ave. He died in hospital. The medical examiner says he was stabbed. Police arrested a 31 year-old man shortly after they say he's also suspected in a robbery at a nearby transit station. Police believe others were involved in the robbery and homicide. The accused is facing second-degree murder and

robbery charges. Couple is facing second-degree murder charges in connection with a homicide. Earlier this month, police discovered the body of a 65 year-old man in home. They're one 35 a avenue and 68 street almost 2 weeks ago. Investigators are not releasing the cause of death. >> A day later than planned, but the province is now making changes to bill 20. The controversial legislation originally gave the premier's inner circle the power to remove bylaws and city councillors. Now cabinet will only be able to order a vote for councillor to be recalled. >> Retain the ability for cabinet to order a vote of the electors to remove a councillor. This is similar to the recall petition process that could be launched by a resident. We're also amending the draft bill to clarify that this is about councillors who are unwilling or unable or refused to do the job of a councillor. >> Critics of bill 20 were concerned to those cabinet powers would create a quote, chilling effect preventing local politicians from disagreeing with the ucp government minister ric mciver says he recognized the concerns of municipal lit partners and listened, saying the decision will rest with voters. The amendment also clarifies when cabinet can remove the by-law now limits that power to a by-law exceeds the authority of the city or town conflicts with the municipal governance act. Provincial policy or is unconstitutional. >> This is a large tax hanging over all of our heads. Bill 20, we feel the bill is going to change municipal politics in the it will probably be unrecognizable in the future. >> The president of the rural municipalities of alberta said the cabinet powers are still too broad. Alberta wildfire says there are 30 fires burning in 4th protected areas. Most are under control. 3 are being held, including the one outside fort mcmurray, alberta. Emergency management says a report from the 2016 fort mcmurray fire helped the evacuation this time around. The managing director says all the recommendations coming out of 2016 were implemented. Back then, the evacuation order happened quickly with not much notice in this case. >> That the local authority to an extremely good job. The in collaboration forestry and parks or alberta wildfire to a monitor. The fire provide the community with a notice to be ready to evacuate. And then unfortunately, some what the order came to evacuate and people newer go knew what they had to pack with them. The province is trying to mitigate the risk of flooding due to wildfires when vegetation is removed by wildfire. It can create a situation where water moves quicker, causing a greater opportunity for flooding. >> When we look at wetlands and we do invest heavily in restoring these areas because that land access a bit of a sponge to retain more water, which does help us mitigate both drought and flood. So we do have 12 million dollars dedicated to support that budget. >> Environment and protected areas. Minister rebecca schulz says there are 100 the stations across the province monitoring rainfall and river levels. A senior scientists to the city says the current weather is the best of both worlds when it comes to mosquitos. Mike jenkins says the bloodsuckers thrive in hot, wet weather. He says this month, gradual rain and cool temperatures have led to the lowest level of adult mosquito activity for may in several years. Jenkins also says the city has fully transitioned from light traps to carbon dioxide traps, which provide more accurate counts. He says, well, the mosquito situation could change quickly with the weather, the city's treating areas they are most likely to breed. >> Roadside ditch and ground crews have been out treating those habitats, reducing the numbers of mosquito larvae that are developing in those and will continue to have low mosquito numbers going forward. >> The city recommends reducing any standing water in your backyard to prevent mosquitoes from breeding. That includes frequently changing the water in bird baths and covering rain barrels with the screen.
