Good morning in the to morning. So now's the time we can safely plant are tomato plants. Yeah, we don't want to plant tomatoes when the weather is very and unpredictable. Cool mates, you need to have a nice warm night over 5 degrees celsius. The soil needs to be nice and warm if you're growing them right in the garden beds. >> Fundamentals about growing tomatoes, you need a large pot if you're going to do containers or raised beds, that's fine. But it needs to be large enough, at least about a 5 gallon container will do most tomato plants foundation is also good soil. So make sure you're purchasing an asa potting mix. You can add if you're going in the garden, you can add spearman, newer sheep manure, fish soil, something to amend and make sure that the soil is nice and rich in going to work well with your tomatoes. People get quite competitive about the tomato growing talk about the types of tomatoes we can grow. Yeah, so of course, there are always the beefsteak type tomatoes, which is like beefsteak better. Boy, big boy, early girl. You know, they grow the nice large ones. There's also some heirloom type tomatoes, which are the old fashion type that they really have good flavour ox heart pineapple cherokee purple. They have different colours too. And then of course, terry tomatoes to sweet 1, 100's tiny tim's tumblers. You know, those are the kind that you can have on the doorstep. You can pick when you come out of the they're always really good. They're all treated basically the same. What about companion plants? Yeah, so I always tell people make sure you're going lots of flowers in your garden because that brings bees. So mary gold also tried to repel the foods and things away.
